Arise early for a yoga session and have breakfast. Afterward, you can indulge yourself with the traditional wisdom of the ancient gurus. Further, participate in the talk session regarding Bangla Village and Kamakhya Temple. Then, the cruise will halt at Bangla Village, where you can interact with the locals to get insights into their lifestyle, culture, and traditions.

Later, return to the ship; the rest of the day is at leisure. You can engage yourself in reading a novel or in an ayurvedic retreat. In the evening, laze around the deck to glimpse the sunset along with the ethnic Indian snack. Then, have dinner and stay overnight on the cruise.

Cruise

Begin your day with an Ayurvedic retreat or a yoga session. Then, have breakfast and sail towards Silghat, where you can stroll through the jute mill. Witness the complete process in a co-operative mill for turning the golden fiber into a gunny bag.

Then, drive towards the tea estate to see the women plucking tea leaves. If time permits, head towards the tea factory to see the leaves turning into grains for packing. Later, enjoy the traditional folk dance of Assam, Bihu, by the local dancers. As the sun goes down, return to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay.

Elephant Ride

Start your day before dawn with a strong cup of tea/coffee and snacks. You will drive towards Kaziranga to encounter the wildlife up close and personal. Enjoy the jeep and elephant game drives in the Kaziranga National Park. Post-ride, head back to the cruise. Spend your evening on the deck and observe the migratory birds find their nesting spots as the sun starts lowering. Pay homage to the Brahmaputra river with floating lamps and gaze upon the stars. Have dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise.

Today, wake up early and sail towards Biswanath Ghat. Then, have breakfast and step down at Biswanath Ghat. This place is a cosmos of weavers, fishermen, anglers, and boatmakers. The weavers display their stories on colorful fabrics.

Then, return to the ship and sail towards Kaziranga, where you will have the opportunity to go on a boat safari and spot the Gangetic dolphins along with other species of wildlife. Post-boat ride, return to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay.

Return to the ship for breakfast, then proceed towards Mishing Village to observe the life on Chang ghars of bamboo scaffolding, roof, and walls. This village allows you to add Mishing woven fabric to your wardrobe or home décor.

Then, proceed for lunch, organized by the Planter’s family amidst the tea plantations. Return to the ship in the evening, and laze around the deck. Later, have dinner with an overnight stay on the cruise.

Majuli Island

Post breakfast, sail towards Majuli Island, the largest inhabited riverine island, where you will feel the essence of the Vaishnav culture. Here, enjoy Gayan Bayan by the priests. Afterward, return to the cruise and sail towards Neamati Ghat.

Afterward, the cruise will halt at Sivasagar, the famous Ahom monuments of the past era. You’ll visit the tallest Shiva Temple in India, Shiva Dol, Talatal Ghar, Ahom Palace, and the Rang Ghar. Discover rural life, return to the cruise for dinner, and stay overnight.

Cruise

The last day of the MV Mahabaahu Cruise Tour is reserved for nature lovers. Step out of the cruise, take a nature walk on the Neamati Bund, and observe the locals performing their daily errands in the wee hours. This walk will give you a sneak peek into the lives of the Assamese folk.

Further, return to the ship for breakfast and bid adios to the cruise. De-board the cruise and drive towards the airport for your onward journey.
