Day 01: Paro - Thimphu (49.8 km/ 1.3 hours)
This tour commences as you take a flight for Paro. On arrival at the airport, meet our tour representative, who will assist you with a swift transfer to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. On your way, halt at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Here, you can witness the different styles of stupas, including Tibetan, Nepalese, and Bhutanese. On arrival at your pre-booked hotel in Thimpu, complete the check-in process and rest for a while. In the evening, you can go for an exploratory walk around Thimphu Main Street and the market area to enjoy a shopping spree.


Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Wake up early, have breakfast in your room, and move ahead for Buddha Point through a short drive. After reaching this point, admire the panoramic view of Thimphu Valley. You can also offer prayers to the Buddha and stroll around this region. After that, start your Buddha nature Trail that will lead you to Changangkha Lhakhang. It is an easy, well-maintained trail that lets you enjoy natural beauty. On arrival at Changangkha Lhakhang, experience the blissful aura of this fortress temple and behold a breathtaking view of Thimphu Valley.

Later, visit Pangri Zampa, one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan. Next, head to the Bhutan Post Office and Traditional Paper-making factory that reflects the past of Thimphu. In the evening, visit Tashichhodzong, where tranquility floats in the air. Later, move towards your hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay.


Day 03: Thimphu - Punakha (73.4 km/ 2.1 hours)

Rise and shine in the morning with your breakfast in your room. After finishing your meal, drive to Punakha across Dochula Pass, which offers a tremendous view over the high peaks of the eastern Himalayas. En route, take a short excursion to Chimi Lhakhang, which lets you walk through paddy fields and villages. Apart from that, you can get a better outlook on the daily lifestyle of villagers. On arrival at one of our listed hotels in Punakha, go through the check-in formality and rest for a while in your room.

Next, move out from the hotel to visit Punakha Dzong, where you can enjoy the silence and serene beauty. Come back to your hotel for your dinner and overnight stay in Punakha.


Day 04: Punakha

Get up from bed, munch your morning meal, and step out for Punakha Sightseeing. Today, you will hike up through fields of chilies, cabbages, and rice along the banks of the Mo Chhu to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten. Next, move towards Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery, which is settled on a ridge amid pine trees and overlooks the valleys of Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang.

Next, get a blessing from Lhakhang (Temple), which houses a permanent higher learning and meditation center for nuns. You can practice meditation and learn more about cultural depth. Evening time is free for leisure activities in Punakha. Later, return to your hotel to relish dinner and a restful overnight stay in this beautiful town.


Day 05: Punakha – Paro (115 km/ 3.1 hours )

Have your breakfast in your hotel room, pack your bags, and check out from the hotel. Get a swift transfer to Paro via scenic highways. On your way, visit Simtokha Dzong, the ancient fortress now home to the School for Buddhist Studies. On arrival at your pre-booked hotel in Paro, go through the check-in formality and rest in your assisted room. After having your lunch, step out to visit Ta Dzong, which is now home to the National Museum. Here, you can witness antique Thangka paintings, textiles, weapons & armor, household objects, and natural and historical artifacts.

Next, take a short walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, well-known for its fascinating history. It is also well known for fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore, such as Four Friends, the Old Man of Long Life, the Wheel of Life, and scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount, and many more. After enjoying this day, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.


Day 06: Paro

On this day of your Bhutan tour, you will have breakfast and move out to witness one of the gems of Bhutan. Start your excursion to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, which is perched on the side of the cliff. From here, you can admire the view of Paro Valley and practice meditation.

In the afternoon, you will drive towards Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders. After spending some time here, move towards 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Songtsen Gampo, a Tibetan king. Later, return to your hotel for dinner and have a restful overnight stay in Paro.


Day 07: Departure from Paro

This is the last day of your Bhutan 7-day tour, beginning with a meal in your room. After finishing your meal, pack your bags, check out from the hotel, and get a swift transfer to catch your flight for your onward destination.
