Fateh Sagar Lake History:
This lake was built in 1888 by the great Maharana Fateh Singh, he built an 800-meter long dam to protect the lake from floods. Hence to honor the Maharaja for his generosity the lake was named after him.The Fateh Sagar Lake has three small islands.

Nehru Park is built on the largest island. Nehru Park is a paradise for nature lovers, this lush green garden offers a picturesque view of the lake. This observatory is situated on an island in the lake and it offers a majestic view of the lake.
“Under the Sun” is an aquarium in the Fatehsagar Lake. 200 species of fishes adorn this beautiful aquarium. The aquarium is open on all days of the week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The Connaught Bund Dam is one of the finest specimens of dam engineering. The dam was originally named as Stone Dam but it was inaugurated by the Duke of Connaught so it is populary known as Connaught Bund Dam. You will be thrilled see the workings of this dam which was built more than 100 years ago by “Gajdhars” who were the local engineers. The dam is still in working condition even after all these years, this fact is enough to show the prowess of Indian engineers of that era. You can visit the Marana Pratap Memorial which has a life-size statue of the Brave warrior on his favorite horse Chetak. It is perched on the Pearl Hill and constructed in the memory of the brave king.
Rajiv Gandhi Garden is another worthwhile place to visit. This alluring garden offers a lush greenery and a perfect place for picnickers. The food court in the garden serves authentic Rajasthani cuisines.

If you are an adventure freak, then you have the option of enjoying the speedboat ride. The ticket fee for the normal boat are INR 15-30 for Indian citizens, while INR 60-125 for foreigners.
