Itinerary Details

After arriving at the railway station or airport in Coimbatore, continue your journey towards Ooty by road. Once you reach Ooty, complete your check-in formalities at the hotel and then relax for some time. Enjoy your lunch and then head out for some sightseeing. Regarded as the 'Queen of Hill Stations' Ooty offers an exceptionally pleasant climate that attracts the tourists throughout the year. Today you will visit the Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens, and Doddabetta Trek. After enjoying this natural charm you will visit the local market and buy some stuff for yourself and your loved ones.

Ooty Lake is an artificial lake that offers a mesmerizing view. The Lake is surrounded by lush greenery and red Eucalyptus, also you can see several streams coming out of the hills.

Botanical Gardens is nestled on the lower slopes of the Doddabetta peak. Ooty Botanical Garden is delighting the travelers for the last 160 years with its lush green lawns and stunning variety of flowers, ferns, and orchids.

Doddabetta Trek is an adventurous trek which takes you to the Doddabetta peak. It is a wonderful spot that offers a panoramic view of the city and its evergreen scenery. There are several trekking trails both easy and hard and you can choose the one you like. Go to the Telescope House to enjoy a clear view of surroundings with the help of a telescope.

Dolphin's Nose is a 1,550 Meter high popular viewpoint and named so because the peak looks like the nose of a dolphin.

Avalanche Lake is a heaven for nature enthusiasts. This lake is situated amidst the captivating landscape. This place is also famous for several adventurous activities such as trekking, rappelling, rafting, and horse riding.

Ooty Rose Garden It is located on the slopes of Elk Hill, Ooty Rose Garden mesmerizes people of all ages. The flowers create a riot of color amidst the green landscape. Stroll for some time in the beautiful garden.

On day 3 of your Ooty Kodaikanal Munnar tour package, enjoy your breakfast and then make your way to Kodaikanal. On the way, visit the Palani Murugan Temple. This temple is one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan, the elder son of Lord Shiva. He is also known by the name of Lord Kartikeya. It is perched on the top of the Sivagiri Hill and holds a special place in Hindu mythology.

After reaching Kodaikanal, complete your check-in formalities at the hotel. You have the rest of the day at your leisure and can spend it any way you like. Coakers Walk is a beautiful square built by Lieutenant Coaker in 1872. Ideal for morning and evening walk, this park is admired by nature lovers for offering stunning views of the Kodaikanal hills.

Green Valley View is a wonderful viewpoint located at a height of 5000 feet above sea level. Enjoy the picturesque sight but before that offer some food to the monkeys who crowd the spot, otherwise they may disturb you. Also, visit the nearby Kodaikanal Golf Club, which is also sometimes visited by the wildlife.

Silver Cascade Falls and Bear Shola Falls are the two dramatic waterfalls. The Silver Cascade Falls flows from the Kodai Lake and it looks like glittering silver threads amidst the lush surroundings. On the other hand, Bear Shola Falls gets its real look during the monsoon, it takes a short hike to reach this fall. Lastly, visit the Pillar Rocks which is comprised of three vertical granite boulders amidst the deep lush forest.

Start a pleasing day by enjoying a delicious breakfast, and get ready to visit the Eravikulam National Park. This park is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna. One of the famous attractions of Eravikulam National Park is the Nilgiri Tahr. Safari is the best way to explore the national park. A complete safari took 2-3 hours and you can spot Nilgiri Langur, Nilgiri Marten, Indian Porcupine, Elephants, Nilgiri Flycatcher, Nilgiri Pipit, and several species of butterflies.

Later, you will also visit the Mattupetty Dam and Dairy Farm, both of which offer incredible experiences. Mattupetty Dam snuggled amidst the lush greenery. The serene ambiance of the lake is enjoyable and one can go for boating in the Mattupetty Lake.

You have the rest of the day at your leisure. You can visit the Tea Museum, where you can learn how your favorite brew is processed before reaching your pot. Then, go to Echo Point, and Kundala Lake. At the Echo point, experience the natural echo phenomenon and if you are lucky you can get the view of blooming Neelakurinji that blooms once in 12 years. In the evening enjoy boating on the Kundala Lake glittering in the last rays of the sun.

On day 7 of your Kerala Tamil Nadu itinerary, after having a hearty breakfast you will leave for Cochin by road. After arriving at Cochin, complete your check-in formalities at the hotel. In the afternoon, set off for some wonderful sightseeing in Cochin including places like Jewish Street, Jewish Synagogue, Hill Palace Museum, Dutch Palace Museum, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. After exploring all these sites, go for an amazing experience of boating on the Marine Drive. In the evening, you can visit the Lulu shopping mall, the second largest shopping mall in India.

Start your tour by visiting the Jewish Synagogue which is a meeting house of the Jews since 1568, the year it was built. This is also a silent witness of the colonial history of Cochin. If you want to get an insight into the old colonial world, wander around the streets of the Jewish town. Visit the charming shops around Synagogue Lane where you can explore the antiques, vintage collectibles, Kerala arts products, and aromatic spices.

Next, visit the Mattancherry Palace also known as Dutch Palace. Admire this heritage site famous for the Mural of the kingdom of Kerala. This palace has been taken care of by the Archeological Society of India. The gallery of the palace displays the weapons, furniture, coins, and other items that were used by the Royal family of Kochi. It gives us a glimpse of the royal lifestyle of the royal family.

Hill Palace Museum is one of the largest Archeological Museum in Kerala. The complex houses the archeological museum, heritage museum, a deer park, pre-historic park, and children's park. This complex consists of 49 buildings in the traditional style.

Chinese fishing nets are a unique fishing method where the fishing nets are fixed to the land and hang high in the sky creating an amazing view over the glittering water during the sunset.

After enjoying the day's excursion, back to your hotel for overnight stay.

This is the last day of your tour. In the morning have your breakfast and get transferred to the railway station to board a train or to the airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
