    WINTER SEASON

    (October to April)

    With heavy snowfall, the region becomes inaccessible, and the Gurudwara is closed. Only recommended for experienced trekkers during the offseason. For all the adventurous souls, winter is the great time to visit Hemkund Sahib.

    MONSOON SEASON

    (July to September)

    While occasional rain occurs, the vibrant landscapes become even more picturesque. However, trekking conditions may be affected. You can visit Hemkund Sahib and enjoy the more natural beauty.

    HOW TO REACH

    Reaching Hemkund is easy as it is well connected through three modes of transportations; air, rail, and road.

     
    The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From there, one can hire a taxi or take a bus to Govindghat, the base for the Hemkund Sahib trek.
    The nearest railhead is Rishikesh. From Rishikesh, one can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Govindghat, the starting point for the trek to Hemkund Sahib.
    Govindghat is connected by road to major cities. Regular buses and taxis are available from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and other nearby towns.
