Ganga Aarti is an important ceremony that takes place on a grand scale every morning and evening on the banks of the holy Ganges. The priests perform the Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The entire Ghat gets floodlit with a heavenly light that can be felt powerfully. The Sankat Mochan Temple Varanasi is a magnificent temple of the city. This temple is also known as the monkey temple because the number of monkeys around this temple is in troops. The temple is situated south of Varanasi city and near the Assi Ghat. As the name of the temple, it relieves the woes of the devotees.

The Dashashwamedh Ghat is a religious place, and many rituals are performed in Varanasi. As the name suggests, it is said that this is the place where Lord Brahma performed the Dasa Ashwamedha sacrifice. Out of 88 ghats of Varanasi, Dashashwamedh ghat is the most celebrated and most frequent Ghat. After dusk, Dashashwamedh Ghat comes to life due to the Ganga Aarti that happens in the Ghat each night.
