Mysore Palace is a historic landmark in the city of Mysore in the State of Karnataka, India. The fort of Mysore is also known as Amba Vilas Palace. Mysore Palace has been the residence of the royal family and they are still living in the palace. The land where the palace stands is known as Purgiri. The Palace is located at the center of the city of Mysore. It is facing the Chamundi Hills. Usually, Mysore is known as the "city of palaces".

Krishna Raja Sagar Dam is located in Karnataka. It is located 12 miles northwest of Mysore city. This dam was constructed in the year 1932. The canals drawn from it are useful for irrigation, about 92000 acres of land around the dam draws water from the canals. This dam has been constructed on the Kaveri River and its height is about 130 feet.

The presence of a decorative terrace garden called Brindavan Gardens that is built underneath the Krishna raja Sagar Dam is one of the most visited places in South India. You can experience the fascinating wonderland setting in the numerous musical fountains and stunning colored lights in the evenings. The Brindavan Gardens has been methodically strategized and is constructed on both sides of the big artificial lakes called the Southern and Northern Yards. The view of the plethora of fountains, flowing and leaping into several designs in the middle of the tranquil decorative gardens is a revitalizing involvement for the visitors. Then weekends are filled with a huge number of Tourists who come to see and enjoy the beautifully lit up fountains and gardens. The picturesque exquisiteness of the place has made it the most sought after location for filming several Indian and foreign movies. The gorgeousness of the dam can be relished all year round and monsoon is the best season to visit the dam.

In its proximity to the Mysore Palace, the Chamundeshwari Temple is situated on the Chamundi hill, about 13 km from the city of Mysore. This Chamundeswari Temple, Mysore has the status of one of the 18 Shakti Peetha or the Power of energy center. It is also named Krouncha Peetha because in the Vedic era the region where it is located was called Krouncha Puri. The Chamundi hill is one of the major attractions in Mysore city. Built at an altitude of about 1065 meters above the sea level, and if you visit Mysore, then try to pay a visit there also. On the top of the hill of Chamundi, there is a dedicated Chamundeshwari Temple dedicated to goddess Chamundeswari, she is an incarnation of goddess Parvati. It used to be the goddess of the Wadiyars! They had great faith and belief in the goddess.

Bandipur National Park is one of the main attractions of Bandipur. It is also an ideal place for nature lovers. Spread over an area of 800 sq. km, the park is rich vegetation with deep and dense forest. In 1931, the Maharaja of Mysore founded the park, which was then 90 sq. km. In 1941 the name of the park was the Venugopal Wildlife Park, based on the name of the main deity of the region. Bandipur National Park was the place where the Maharaja of Mysore practiced hunting. It was later in the year 1974 recognized as a reserve with the name project tiger and these deciduous forests that are full of wildlife have been one of the most sought after tourist destinations since then.
