Day 1: Arrival at Kolkata

On arrival at the Kolkata Airport/ railway station, get assistance with transfer to your hotel. Take some rest, and then you will embark on a city sightseeing tour. You will visit Kalighat Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peetha. It is believed that the right toe of the Dakshayani Sati has fallen here.

Later, you will visit the Alipore Zoo and spot some exotic flora, fauna, and wildlife species. The evening is at your leisure. You can see the market and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata.

Day 2: Kolkata Sightseeing Tour

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Later, get ready to do some fantastic sightseeing. Kolkata combines the charms of its heydays with its cultural spirits. The popular sites in the ‘City of Joy’ include Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Belur Math, the world-renowned Howrah Bridge, the Indian Museum, Mother House, and Victoria Memorial.

A well-spent day in Kolkata also includes the taste of the delicious gastronomy. The rest of the evening is at leisure. You can go shopping and buy some souvenirs for your loved ones. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kolkata - Godkhali – Sunderbans

Cruise through Bidyadhari, Durgaduani & Gumdi Rivers

Get transferred to the Godkhali early morning. On the way, admire the beautiful countryside and the rural shops. You will get a packed breakfast. On arriving at Godkhali, start with a motorboat journey. Get a briefing from a local guide accompanied by a naturalist. Cruise on the rivers of Bidyadhari, Durgaduani, and Gumdi for around one and a half hours. Lunch will be served on board.

On arrival at Dulki, check-in at the resort. Later, the afternoon is planned to enjoy bird watching. You will visit Bird’s Island. You can spot a kingfisher, egret, Brahmani eagles, pond heron, black cormorants, magpie robin, green bee-eaters, etc. After dinner, retire to your comfy lodgings for the night.

Day 4: Sunderbans Sightseeing

Start the day with breakfast and get ready. The 4th day of the Sundarban National Park Tour is completely reserved for Sundarban sightseeing. Proceed towards the watchtower for bird watching. You will visit the Sajnekhali Watchtower, Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, and Dobanki Watchtower. You will also call for the canopy walk at Dobanki, where you can view wildlife from a netted enclosure. While cruising through the small channels and creeks, you will be able to spot different wildlife, such as dolphins, spotted deer, wild boars, monitor lizards, etc.

Savor the lunch in the boat and later get back to the resort. The evening is made special with a theater performance, a musical dance performance that narrates the local life and culture of Sunderbans. Dinner and night stay at the resort.

Day 5: Sunderbans – Godkhali – Kolkata

Start the day with breakfast. Later, you will proceed to the local village tour to buy honey and some locally made handicrafts. Later, get assistance with transfer to Gothkhali by boat. From Gothkhali, get on the road back to Kolkata.

After reaching Kolkata, get dropped off at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore the city on your own. You can savor the charms of Kolkata or go shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Departure

The wonderful Sundarban tour ends today. Get a timely transfer to the Airport to board your onward return flight while taking with you the fond memories of this adventurous trip.
