Day 1 - Guwahati - Nameri National Park (220 km/4.5 hours)

As you land at Guwahati Airport, our representative will transfer you to Nameri National Park. It is located in Tezpur (Assam-Arunachal border) and is home to a diverse range of animals like Sambar, Barding Deer, Hog Deer, Elephants, and more. Once you arrive, settle down in the accommodation.

In the evening, witness the delightful Bihu dance performance, the traditional Assamese dance. Overnight stay at the hotel


Day 2 - Nameri National Park - Dirang (156 km/4 hours)

Set off in the morning around 6:00 am and proceed for a trek inside the Nameri National Park. Witness the Himalayan foothills along with the exotic birds and the lush green forests. Come back for breakfast and indulge in thrilling river rafting on the Jia Bharali River.

After lunch, check out and leave for Dirang, famous for its apple orchards, natural hot springs, and sheep breeding. On the way, halt at Orchid Research Center and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary to witness various orchid species. Later, continue driving to Dirang.

Upon reaching, check in to your room and spend a comfortable overnight at the hotel.


Day 3 - Dirang

After breakfast, set out to explore Dirang’s top attractions. First, visit Sangti Valley, an offbeat and quaint place in Arunachal Pradesh known for its majestic creature called the black-necked crane.

Afterward, visit the Sheep Breeding Centre and Dirang Dzong. If time allows, you can visit Mandala Top, an ancient mountain pass, and the birding hub with 108 Buddhist Manes. Later, visit the village and meet the locals. Once the tour is done, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.


Day 4 - Dirang - Sela Pass - Tawang (135 km/4.3 hours)

On day 4 of your North East India tour, have breakfast and check out. Leave for Tawang via Sela Pass. Drive along the Dirang River and then climb to Sela Pass. Drive from Sela Pass to Tawang Chu River and enjoy the views of snow-covered peaks. Drive towards Nuranang Falls, a famous site for cinephiles, where Shahrukh and Madhuri’s Bollywood movie ‘Koyla’ scenes were shot.

Once you arrive in Tawang, check in at the hotel. Grab lunch and then head to the renowned Tawang Monastery. It is 400 years old and, thus, considered to be the oldest monastery in India. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.


Day 5 - Tawang

Today, the Classic North East tour will take you to explore famous sites in Tawang. After breakfast, drive to the high-altitude lake, Pangong Tang Tso. Spend time admiring the natural beauty and tranquility. Later, return to the hotel for lunch.

The rest of the day is leisurely, and you can explore the town independently. Shopping is one of the best things you can do at the Crafts Center and traditional Monpa Village. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel ni Tawang.


Day 6 - Tawang - Bomdila (177 km/5 hours)

Start your day with breakfast, and later, check out. Travel from Tawang to Bomdila and enjoy the views of misty mountains, lush forests, and apple orchards en route. Bomdila is the district headquarters of the West Kameng district and is known for panoramic views of the Himalayan terrain.

On arrival, check in to your hotel and rest for a while. Have lunch and spend the day at leisure. Go out to stroll in the local market and get an insight into people’s daily lives. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Bomdila.


Day 7 - Bomdila - Kaziranga National Park (180 km/4.7 hours)

Once you are done with breakfast, we will drive you to Kaziranga National Park. On the way, halt at Tezpur to visit its ancient temples and monuments that have legends attached to them. Continue the drive, and once reached, check into a lodge. Kaziranga National Park is known worldwide for its one-horned rhinos. It is one of the last areas in eastern India that remains undisturbed by humans. Overnight stay in the lodge in Kaziranga.

Start the day at around 5:30 am and set out for an elephant ride in Kaziranga National Park. Look for rhinos and other animals in their natural habitat. See the herd of Indian elephants at a close distance.

Come back for breakfast and then go for another 4-hour wild ride to the Central Range of the park and you can even track a tiger. Come to the lodge for lunch and depart for another game view in the park’s Western Range. Enjoy your evening watching Jhumur, a local tribal dance. An overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 9 - Departure from Guwahati (164 km/3.5 hours)
Your 9 days North East India trip package ends today. After breakfast, you will be driven to Guwahati Airport for your onward destination.
