Mana Village is India's last village from the border of India and Tibet/China in snuggled in the lap of the Himalayas. Mana Village is located in the district of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. It is the tourist attraction located near the Badrinath town with a distance of around 5 km. It is located on the bank of the river Saraswati. The Mana village is perched at an altitude of 3219 m from the mean sea level. Here entry is free and the exploration time is around two hours. It boasts pristine beauty of the Himalayan peaks and verdant greenery, and this makes an ideal place for nature lovers. 

India’s last village Mana is dotted with immense beauty and this place is a paradise for the shutterbugs and for those who are seeking the ultimate peace and conformity. People living here are    called Bhotias which belongs to Mongal Tribes. The locals live here in cottages which are made up of wood and are decorated gracefully. The Mana Gaon is recognized for its woolen garments and materials like shawls, caps, mufflers, and Pankhi (a thin blanket made up of sheep wool). The traces of Hindu mythology, Mahabharata are visible here. It is believed that the Pandavas had passed through Mana during their journey to heaven. Moreover, there is a small passage called Bheem Pul that is located here and the river Saraswati plunges headlong into the path and this is a sight to behold. 

The attractions near the place are Neelkanth peak which is at the height of around 6,597 m from mean sea level and is known as ‘Queen of Garhwal'. Another famous tourist attraction of Mana Village is Vasudhara, a waterfall located 9 km away from Badrinath temple. It is believed that this place is a temporary stay point of Pandavas during their exile. As we move on, the next extraordinary place is Vyas Gufa. It is believed that Ved Vyas lived here while the composition of the four Vedas. There is a small shrine in the cave which is dedicated to him and it is believed that this place is 5000 years old. Mana Village holds a paradisiacal beauty that lures a large number of tourists throughout the year and this place also attracts adventure enthusiasts as this is the base for various treks.

The mana village is the perfect place for trekking with many spots. Since the place is located near Badrinath, so the best time to visit Mana village is from May to November. This mesmerizing village is so calm and pleasant during this time that you will be able to enjoy everything that it has in store for you. Most of the places to stay in the city and around are available at a budget to the moderate tariff. The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport situated at Dehradun and the village of Mana is around 319 km away and the nearest railway station is the Rishikesh railway station which is located at a distance of 297 km. One should circumvent in the monsoon season due to the risk of landslides, floods, and other hazards.
