Summer is not a favorable time to visit Udaipur. Heat waves rule the city. The temperature remains usually very high ranging from 40 to 45 degrees Celsius during day time. However, after sunset, sometimes cool breeze brings some relief to the people. Hydrate yourself well and wear light cotton clothes if you are visiting Udaipur during this season.
At the advent of spring during March, Mewar Festival happens in the city. Many cultural events take place owing to this festival just before the summer months.

Winter season starts from November till March. This is the best period to visit Udaipur. The temperature ranges from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. During the day time, soak in the sun as you visit the top attractions in Udaipur. At night time, the temperature drops a bit and you can enjoy a barbeque by the fireside. Wrap yourself with the colorful quilts of Udaipur and enjoy the winter in Rajasthan. The weather remains clear and you can also enjoy boating on the lakes without any fear unlike the monsoon when water rides become a matter of concern. Enjoy the 'Shilpgram Art and Craft Fair' that is held between 21st to 30th December in Udaipur.
Being located in Rajasthan, monsoon in Udaipur is not very much fierce, but it is more on the pleasant side. Rains bring relief to the city after the summer months. The temperature during this time ranges from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius. You can enjoy in the city during this time. Cool breeze accompanied by rain makes the mountains turn green and is a visual treat for the eyes. Udaipur in July and the following months are more or less off-season. Hence, if budget is your concern then this period will be the apt time for you to visit Udaipur.
