Regular bus and rail services ply to and fro Nashik. This city used to have its own airport which is Gandhinagar Airport. But the Indian Army has taken over and serves as a Military Airbase. Therefore, there is no direct flight connectivity to Nashik and the nearest airport is in Mumbai that is 175 km far away from Nashik.
Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the nearest airport from Nasik. The Mumbai International Airport is connected to all the major cities of India like Delhi, Bangalore, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai, etc. From Mumbai International Airport, people can choose from many options like train, bus, or cab depending on time and budget at hand. Another nearest airport is New Pune International Airport and is 130 km far away from Nashik.
Frequent private buses or government buses run between Pune, Mumbai, and other major cities in Nashik and Maharashtra. Also, several AC, Non-AC, and Volvo buses run from Pune, Aurangabad, Shirdi and Mumbai at the minimum fare. Even, the cab service is also available between Mumbai and Nashik.
The Nashik railway station is one of the major stations of the Central Railway. Nashik Railway Station is well-connected with Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other major parts of India. From the railway station, travelers can hire taxis to go to the main city.
