Summer Season (March to May):

Summers are extremely hot in Maharashtra with the mercury reaching 40 degrees easily in many parts of the state. The heat wave is not bearable and it becomes very difficult to explore the places during the daytime. Hence it is best to avoid visiting Maharashtra during this time. Except of course if you are planning to visit the hill stations of this state such as Mahabaleshwar, Khandala, and Matheran.

Generally, March to May is considered to be summer months in Maharashtra. If you are still planning to visit during this season then it is advisable to carry the cotton clothes, sunscreen, and water bottle with you.

Winter Season (October to February):

Winter sets in in October to February in Maharashtra. Generally, the weather is pleasant and the temperature was around 20 to 35 degrees Celsius in most parts of Maharashtra. Whether you are planning to visit Mumbai, Shirdi, Pune, Western Ghats or Konkan Coast beaches, winter is the best season to visit Maharashtra and to enjoy the scenic beauty of these places.
