Hall of Fame is a historical center built by the Indian Army in the memory of all the brave soldiers of India who sacrificed their lives protecting the homeland in the Indo-Pak wars. The Military Hall of Fame Leh museum is situated on the Leh-Kargil Road, about 4km from the city of Leh. It remains a token of the incredible sacrifices made by the solders of India to make sure the motherland is safe and secure from the enemies.
History
The Hall of Fame, which covers the history of bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Army in Ladakh, has been included in the list of the 25 best museums in Asia. The museum tops five museums in the country. The Hall of Fame attracts foreign tourists visiting Ladakh. Every year hundreds of thousands of tourists come to the Hall of Fame to see what sacrifices the Indian Army has made to protect the country's borders in Ladakh. The Hall of Fame was formed in Leh in 1986. The Military Hall of Fame Leh has also captured the art and culture of the region along with the achievements of the Indian Army in other military operations along with the Siachen Glacier in Ladakh and the wars in Pakistan in Kargil. This museum promotes patriotic spirit among the people. During the last three decades, the Hall of Fame has been promoting tourism as a major tourist hub.
Architecture
The Hall of fame structure contains 2 stories and on the ground floor, there is data about the brave soldiers who fought the Indo-Pak wars. The Hall of Fame Museum additionally consists of objects from different wars comprising of weapons and documents. Another portion is given to the Siachen glaciers. The top floor of the Military hall of fame Leh has guns and equipment that have been captured by the Indian Army during its wars with the Pakistan Army. The hall of fame consists of the information about the Leh culture, the lifestyle, history, vegetation, and creatures that are found in this part of the country. In-room no 15 will show garments that were worn by the soldiers at a temperature of - 50ºC. The hall of fame museum showcases a 30-minute film about the 1999 'Kargil War'.
How to Reach
Hall of Fame museum is situated at about 4km away from Leh on the Leh-Kargil Road. The nearest airport in the region is the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, which is situated at a distance of around 2.1 km from the Military hall of fame Leh.
Best time to visit
There is no particular season to visit the Hall of fame as it is favorable to visit all through the year. While the best time to visit here is during the summer season when the weather remains comfortable for the sightseeing tour.
Opening and Closing time
The Hall of Fame museum opens at 9:00 A.M and closes at 7:00 P.M. The museum is also closed for lunch from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

There is an entry fee of about INR 25 per person. And if you want to click some pictures in inside the museum, then there is an additional charge of INR 50
