The best time to visit Leh Ladakh is from April to June. During these months, the climate of Leh Ladakh is pleasant while in winter, the roads are covered with snow but offer the most breathtaking views to travelers. The rainy season makes the roads very risky for travelers. During this time, snow slides and landslides are frequent as well as periodic road blockages can obstruct the flow of the trip or trek. The regions of Baralacha Pass and Zoji La Pass fall under the rain shadow that is going towards Leh from Manali and Srinagar respectively.
