The Thazhathangady Juma Masjid is prominently known for its lavish compositional structure and its complicated wood carvings. The mosque is frequently alluded by the name "Taj Juma Masjid". It is said that the creators of this masjid hail from different locales of Kerala. Situated at a distance of around 7 km from Kottayam, Thazhathangady Masjid lies on the banks of the Meenachil stream close to the Thiruverpu Temple.
