Brindavan Garden is located at a distance of about 19 km from the city of Mysore in the Karnataka state. This beautiful garden is under the Krishna raja Sagar Dam on the Kaveri River. The foundation of this garden was laid in the year 1927 and its construction was completed in 1932. The garden is spread over an area of 20 acres. The Brindavan Garden Mysore is decorated with dancing fountains and flowers. Songs of films are often played in this garden. The Brindavan Garden Mysore is made up of three terraces which include water fountains, trees, flowerbeds, and flowering plants. The garden has cuttings in the garden (where the bushes are cut into the shape of animals), and the Lata Mandap (a path covered with vines of plant wiper), Stream house, Musical fountains, and lake.
A special attraction of this garden is a small show of water fountains swinging and dancing to the music called the 'Musical Fountains’. Boating can also be enjoyed in this huge garden. The Brindavan Garden Mysore was known as the Krishna-Rajendra Terrace Garden and was formed just below the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam (KRS). It is named after Krishna Raja Wadeyar IV and Sir M. M. Visvesvaraya was the engineer and Mirza Ismail built it. The Brindavan Garden is created in the same style as the Shalimar garden in Kashmir and spread across 60 acres.
You can see the beautiful decorations on all days of the weeks. This garden is maintained by the Kaveri Department of Irrigation.
