To get the best of the city, the best time to visit Hassan is from March to October. During this time of the year, the weather remains pleasant and dry, ideal for exploring the place. The summer season in Hassan begins in March and it lasts till May. These months are very hot and unpleasant to walk outside. The temperature during summer may soar to 35°C making it difficult for sightseeing. However, if you want a budget trip, you can consider summer as the hotels and transport are the cheapest. Make sure to carry light clothes and tons of sunscreen to protect from harmful UV rays.
Winter is the tourist season in Hassan and almost all over the country. If you plan to visit Hassan during this time of the year, make sure to do your bookings beforehand. The winter season starts from November and lasts till February. You can expect the comforting temperature in the state that drops down to 15 degrees Celsius. Winter season is the perfect season to indulge in outdoor activities in Hassan.
June to September is the monsoon season in Karnataka. During this time of the year, the temperature fluctuates between 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Rainy season gives reason to explore the city with little effect from the scorching summer heat. Nature comes to life and the dryness evaporates making you feel rejuvenated. It is a good time to visit Hassan to experience monsoon season. However, due to constant rain, you may face challenges of flood and chances are you'll be stranded due to rain. Though a fresh season, it is best avoided.
