How to Reach Bangalore

If you wish to know how to reach Bangalore you won't have any problem as the destination is exceptionally well linked with major cities in the country via air, road, and rail.

By Air By Air

Kempe Gowda International Airport or Bangalore Airport connects the city with all prime Indian and international cities. Sprawling over an area of about 4,700 acres, it is the third busiest airport in the country after Delhi and Mumbai.

Bangalore is extremely well-connected by regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai and most other important cities in India and also has international carriers flowing in and out of the Bangalore International Airport. Air Asia India, Air India, Jet Airways, Indigo, and Spicejet provide regular services to Bangalore from major cities in India. Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways, Emirates, Tiger air, and SriLankan Airlines are some of the prime international airlines operating flights to Bangalore from destinations such as London, Colombo, Dubai, and Singapore.

The airport is about 36 km away from Bangalore city center and several autos and taxis are easily available from the airport.

By Road By Road

Bangalore is well connected with various cities like Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Coimbatore, and Mangalore via an excellent network of state and private buses. The options range from regular buses to air-conditioned, Volvo and sleeper coaches. While some of the buses are run by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, several private bus operators run inter-city buses to and from Bangalore.

By Rai By Rail

Bangalore has two important railway stations - Bengaluru City Railway Station and Yeshwanthpur Junction. Both railway stations link the city of Bangalore with all the prime Indian cities including Delhi, Pune, Mysore, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Trains such as Bangalore Rajdhani and Kongu Express run regularly linking the city with India's capital city, Delhi. For traveling within Bangalore, there is Namma Metro (with limited connectivity), which is an intra-city rail network set up by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.
