Cubbon Park is one of the most prominent landmarks in Bengaluru, as well as the administrative area of the city. It was originally built in 1870. In the past, the Cubbon Park Bangalore was just spread over 100 acres. However, it was later expanded to 300 acres. Here you will find collections of a wide variety of flora and fauna. At first, it was known as Meade Park named after Sir John Meade, the acting commissioner of t Mysore. To pay homage to the then ruler, when Silver Jubilee was celebrated, the name of the park was changed to Chamarajendra Park. Later the park was named after Lord Cubbon to honor him. 

There is a large circle of thick bamboo trees in the park and a large circle of other beautiful plants. The Cubbon Park Bangalore is maintained by the horticulture department of the Karnataka Government. In this park, you can see the way people study in the morning, naturalistic and quiet environment. The park consists of 68 types of exotic flora and 96 species. There are about 6000 trees. There is also the Uttara Kacheri or the High Court, Museum and Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall in the Park. There is no restriction to go into the park and is always open to the people. However, the roads in the Park are closed in the morning from 5 O’clock to 8 O’clock.

Cubbon Park Bangalore is the best picnic spot in Bangalore city with lush green vegetation. It is a green belt zone of Bangalore and is a perfect place for people who love nature and also for those who seek a peaceful environment. There are more than 6,000 trees in the park. Another famous attraction in Cubbon Park is the Bangalore Aquarium, which is the second-largest aquarium in India. 

The park houses several types of exotic silver oak trees along with the Gulmohar trees that are extensively grown in the park. There is an octagonal structure installed in the park which is called the Bandstand. The bandstand is the venue where several great musicians have performed. Cubbon Park in Bangalore is the perfect site where you can unwind away from the traffic of the city. The aesthetics of the park is a huge attraction for the residents and tourists from all parts of the country. The main purpose of the Cubbon Park Bangalore is its emphasis to provide a viable environment for the morning walks and exercises at different times during the day.
