Itinerary Details

As you arrive at the Delhi airport, our tour representative offers you an assisted transfer to the hotel where you complete the check-in. You can relax for a while. In the evening, you can either enjoy a leisure walk or can experience the scintillating nightlife of Delhi. You can visit the mall or local markets and try some new food here. Savor Stuffed Parantha, Chaat Papdi, Biryani, Butter Chicken, Rolls, and Momos. These are very famous dishes which you should try.

Stay overnight in Delhi.

In the morning, get ready for a city tour of Delhi including some of its main attractions such as India Gate which is an 'All India War Memorial'. Here, the names of the martyr soldiers have been carved. Later on, enjoy a visit to Gandhi Memorial, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Qutub Minar - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, start your road trip to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, fondly called the 'Pink City'. Jaipur also comes under world heritage sites. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. If the time and energy permit, you can explore the surroundings on your own. You can stroll around the local market of Jaipur.

Have your breakfast and get ready for sightseeing in Jaipur. The first visit of the day is to the popular hill fort, Amer or Amber Fort. Hop onto an elephant's back or get into a jeep to go to the fort's entrance. The fort, around 11 km away from the city, houses several interesting structures.

In the afternoon, explore the attractions of the city including the City Palace- a mix of Rajput and Mughal architectures. The two main entrances of this palace are Tripolia Gate and Jaleb Chowk. Latticework, marble interiors, inlaid ornamentations, and stunning pillars are some of the prime features of this palace complex. The other visits of the day include Hawa Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, and the world heritage site, Jantar Mantar. It is a collection of nineteen astronomical instruments and it houses the world's largest stone sundial from which one can get to know the time according to the position of the sun.

On day 4 of the Heritage of North India and Nepal tour, get transferred to Agra, by road. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. Relax for some time and then move to explore the mighty Agra Fort. While some structures here were built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, the others were by Emperor Shah Jahan. The next attraction for the day is the splendid Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In the light of the setting sun, it looks mesmerizing. On this day, get transferred to the Agra Cantonment Railway Station to board a train to Jhansi. As you reach Jhansi railway station, begin your road trip to Khajuraho. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and get ready to visit the Khajuraho group of temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Divided into Eastern and Western Group, these temples were erected by the rulers of Chandela Dynasty. These temples are known all across the globe for their remarkable erotic carvings and sculptures. Some of the must-visit temples are Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, Matangeshwar Temple, Lakshmana Temple, and Varaha Temple. Khajuraho is situated in the Vindhya mountain range. On the 6th day of the tour, after having breakfast you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the city. Khajuraho is dotted with ancient temples that are world-renowned and famous for its architectural beauty. This day is made for you to explore the place at your own pace. There are numerous other medieval Hindu and Jain temples to visit. You can visit the Dulhadeo Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple, and Beejamandal Temple. These temples are situated in the southern wing of the Khajuraho Group of Temples. In the morning, after having breakfast you will get transferred to the Khajuraho Airport for boarding a flight to Varanasi. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax for some time. After that get ready for an excursion to Sarnath, a popular Buddhist religious site. Snuggled on the bank of the confluence of River Ganges and River Varuna. You will get an opportunity to explore the Buddhist monasteries, the deer park, the museum, and the Stupa. Later in the evening, return to Varanasi. The evening is scheduled for attending the spectacular Aarti on the banks (Ghats) of the holy river Ganga. Soak in the divine aura of this religious city.

Wake up early on day 8 of the tour and visit the Ganga Ghat to enjoy an early morning boat ride on the River Ganges. Visit the popular bathing Ghats and observe Hindu customs. Thereafter, partake in temple tour in Varanasi including Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, and the Alamgir Mosque which is also known as Aurangzeb Mosque. It is located above the Panchganga Ghat and one can go to Ganga Ghat from the mosque. The mosque is a perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture.

The rest of the evening is at your leisure. You can visit the Banaras Hindu University for exploring the exquisite collection of art, miniature paintings, palm leaf manuscripts, and sculptures in the Art Gallery.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Varanasi.

Post breakfast on day 9, start driving to Lumbini which is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is one of the most revered sites in Buddhism. As you reach, you will have an assisted check-in at the hotel. Freshen-up and get ready for exploring Lumbini. The first visit is to the Myanmar Temple. The temple features shining gold and white structure resembling the Shwedagon Pagoda of Yangon.

Later, visit other attractions of Lumbini including the Maya Garden Buddha Stupa, Japanese Temple, and the Vietnam Temple. There are so many temples in different countries situated here. On the 10th day of the tour, after having breakfast you will head towards Chitwan. It houses a national park that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chitwan National Park accommodates more than 700 species of wildlife. Spread over 3549 sq. km, Chitwan National Park shares borders with Parsa National Park and Valmiki National Park. You can enjoy the jungle safari here and spot some of the rare and endangered animals like one-horned Rhinos, Bengal tiger, crocodiles, and many exotic birds. You can also enjoy the elephant ride, wildlife safari, and nature walks.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel for the overnight stay.

After having early morning breakfast, you will embark on the sightseeing tour of the national park. Enjoy canoe ride at Bhudi Rapti River and spot the crocodiles of Marsh mugger and Ghariyal species. You will also get an opportunity to indulge in Chitwan Elephant bathing.

In the afternoon, you will be able to enjoy the elephant riding in the Chitwan National Park. Spot some of the exotic species of wildlife animals namely bore, leopard, monkey, and the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. If you will be lucky then you will get a glimpse of Royal Bengal Tiger. Later in the evening, return to the hotel after enjoying the sightseeing tour of the national park.

Overnight stay at the lodge in Chitwan.

In the morning, enjoy bird watching, accompanied by a naturalist in the national park. Back to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, get transferred to Kathmandu by road. Upon arrival visit the world heritage site of the Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa. The latter one is among one of the largest unique structural stupas in the world and the massive mandala makes it the largest spherical stupa in Nepal. These Stupas are the oldest of its kind in Nepal. Around 3 km from the main city, these religious sites are placed on a hilltop, around 77 m above the level of Kathmandu Valley. Later, visit the Manakamana Temple where you will enjoy a cable car ride of around 15 to 20 minutes. This four-storeyed temple with brass plates installed on the roof offers a peaceful and serene environment.

Enjoy an early morning visit to the Pashupatinath Temple for Darshan. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is placed on the banks of River Bagmati. It is an important Hindu temple. Later on, savor breakfast at the hotel. This is followed by a full-day trip to Patan City, one of the prime attractions in Kathmandu.
