Itinerary Details

As you reach the Delhi airport, our tour representative will help you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities. The day is at leisure. You can explore the surroundings on your own. You can explore the local markets of Delhi from where you can buy the dresses, jewelry and also try some lip-smacking food.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

After enjoying breakfast on day 2 of Essence of India with Bhutan and Nepal tour, start driving to Alsisar, a serene village in Rajasthan, dotted with various architectural marvels. On arriving, check-in at the hotel. Later on, in the late afternoon, move out to witness the rural lifestyle of the countryside. Observe traditionally-clad villagers busy in cattle-rearing, farming, and artistry. Afterward, visit the Shekhawati region, famed for its painted Havelis. Rajasthan is known for its royal palaces and forts, it was home to some of the magnificent rulers who built glorifying architectural buildings in the state. The grandeur of Alsisar Haveli stands out in terms of its extraordinary opulence.

Back to Alsisar for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast on this day, start driving to Bikaner. As you reach, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Take some rest in the hotel room. Thereafter, get ready for sightseeing in Bikaner. Some of the prime attractions that you explore today include Anup Mahal, Bijai Phool Mahal, Karan Mahal, and Junagarh Fort, which was originally known as 'Chintamani' and also called as 'Old Fort'. It is situated in the parched region of the Thar Desert. The interiors of the palaces are decorated and painted in Rajasthani Style.

The evening is scheduled for a visit to the Camel Breeding Farm in Bikaner. You can see different breeds of Camel here and also you can buy products made from camel milk such as ice cream, hot and cold beverages.

Stay overnight in Bikaner.

Get transferred to Jaisalmer, by road. As you reach, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Famed as the 'Golden City', Jaisalmer is dotted with several architectural wonders. Later in the day, leave your hotel room for a city tour of Jaisalmer including Bada Bagh, Jain Temple, and Jaisalmer Fort. The Jaisalmer Fort is standing proudly for more than 800 years in the middle of the Thar Desert and on the top of the Trikuta Hill. It is one of the very few 'living forts' in India where people are still living. This fort houses temples and numerous Havelis. Explore the fort and you will be amazed to witness such a sheer beauty of this glorifying fort.

Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 5 of the tour is going to be an exciting experience. After breakfast, get ready for a day's excursion to the Sam Sand Dunes. It is one of the best things to do in Jaisalmer. Hop onto a camel's back and explore the vast Thar Desert. Travel through the crest and trough on the back of the camel, you will enjoy the rustic beauty of the desert. Enjoy the sunset while standing on the golden sand of the desert and you will get to see the different colors in the sky and the desert as well.

In the evening, enjoy delicious delicacies, bonfire and folk performances. These are the major highlights of the day.

Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Enjoy early morning breakfast and leave for Jodhpur. As you reach, the city tour of Jodhpur begins. Here, you visit the mighty Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada Memorial. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in India. The intricate carvings inside make it one of the architectural marvels. The museum inside the fort houses some of the magnificent things such as old palanquins, armory, and paintings. Thereafter, continue your road journey to Luni.

After arriving in Luni, check-in at the hotel. If time and energy permits, you can explore the surroundings on your own. You can go shopping at the local market if time allows. Make sure that you will buy the traditional carved items which are made up of the clay, wood and metal. The generations are passing their art to every other generation in Luni and they carve some of the spectacular items.

On the 7th day of the tour, savor breakfast which is followed by a road journey to Udaipur, one of the most romantic cities in India. On the way, halt at Ranakpur. Visit the popular Ranakpur Jain temples here that were constructed in the 15th-century. The temples are known for beautiful carvings and 1444 pillars that support 29 halls. These temples are the most striking attraction in the Ranakpur, which were built using light-colored marble and are designed with four faces.

Continue your journey to Udaipur. On arriving, check-in at the hotel. Relax for a while and then set out to visit the temples in Udaipur. This city is home to many famous temples such as Eklingji Temple, Jag Mandir, Mahakaleshwar Temple and Nathdwara Temple. Pay your visit to these temples and you will be amazed to bask in the bliss.

After breakfast, the day is scheduled for a city tour of Udaipur including Saheliyon–Ki–Bari, and Jagdish Temple. Thereafter, you will also visit the other attractions in Udaipur including Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, the City Palace Museum, and the Folk Art Museum.

The evening is scheduled for exploring the wonderful City Palace complex, placed on the banks of Lake Pichola. Also, explore the Monsoon Palace, constructed on the top of the Aravalli Hills. It is also known as Sajjangarh Palace. The royal palace was intended to be built as a 5 storied astronomical observatory which helps to keep track of monsoon arrival but the untimely death of Maharaja Sajjan Singh halted the construction. The palace is built-in Rajasthani architectural style.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Today, after breakfast, get transferred to Deogarh. On reaching, complete the check-in at the hotel. Relax for some time and get ready for a sightseeing tour of Deogarh. Some of the main tourist attractions in Deogarh that you visit today are a temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva) and then you will visit Deogarh Mahal which stands proudly on the top of the hill. The palace is situated in the Aravali mountain range and offers an amazing view of the city. If you will have time and energy then visit the local markets where you will find traditional items made by the locals. Carved stones and local handicrafts are other items that are worth buying.

Stay overnight in Deogarh.

After breakfast on the 10th-day, begin driving to Jaipur, fondly known as the 'Pink City'. As you reach the capital city of Rajasthan, check-in at the hotel. Later on, explore some of the city's prime wonders such as Jal Mahal which is situated in the center of the Man Sagar Lake. It is built in the Rajput architectural style. Thereafter, you will visit Jaigarh Fort which is situated on another hilltop in Aravalli range, 400 m above the Amer Fort. The fort owns the armory chamber and museum. Central Museum and Birla Mandir are other attractions of the day.

The evening is at leisure and you can explore the surroundings as per your interest. You should walk through the local markets of the 'Pink City; where you will find local handicrafts.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Post breakfast, enjoy a visit to Amer Fort, also known as Amber Fort, built on a hilltop. Enjoy a ride on an elephant's back up to the fort's entrance. It is around 11 km away from the city. In the afternoon, visit the other attractions in Jaipur including the wonderful City Palace. Known for its lush gardens, expansive courtyards and stunning carvings, it is an amalgamation of Rajputana and Mughal styles of architecture. Next in line is Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as Royal Observatory. One can see the celestial coordinate system and horizon-zenith local system here. The instruments available here allow observing astronomical events with naked eyes. Later, shop for souvenirs at the local bazaars.

An overnight stay in Jaipur.

The morning, after breakfast, is scheduled for shopping for handicrafts, gems, and textiles. You get the best quality Rajasthani products here. Delight in a special lunch at Chokhi Dhani, a village resort that amuses you with a puppet show, folk dance performance and more. Post lunch, start driving towards Delhi. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. The day is leisure. Relax and unwind. You can go out to explore the attractions in close vicinity. There is so much to do and explore in Delhi. You can easily transform your evening into a memorable affair.

On the 13th day of the tour, you will have an assisted transfer to the airport to board the flight for Paro. On arrival, our tour representative will meet you at the airport and your will head for Thimphu. It is the capital of Bhutan and houses many architectural marvels. The capital city is a perfect blend of traditional and modernity.

On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Relax for a while and the rest of the day is at your leisure. You can take a stroll nearby the resort or explore the nearby local market. You can buy some traditional jewelry, woven bags, metal products, textile, and many more things as a souvenir.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

After having breakfast, you will embark on the city tour of Thimphu which includes the famous tourist attractions. The first stopover of the day will be Memorial Chorten which is one of the tallest monuments in Thimphu. It is renowned for its artwork, intricate carvings, and marvelous sculptors. The other important places which you will visit are Simtokha Dzong, National Library, Institute of Zorig Chusum, National Textile Museum, The Folk Heritage Museum (Pelchey Toenkhyim), and Buddha Point.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

On the 15th day of the tour, post breakfast you will leave by road for Paro. On arrival in Paro, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Relax for a while and then you will start your city tour. You will visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) which is also known as Rinpung Dzong. You will get a glimpse of many illustrations that portray the life of Buddha. You can visit the nearby handicraft stores and buy the local handicraft and other famous items. You can also get an opportunity to see the traditional game of Archery here.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Start early morning for a drive to the base of Tiger’s Nest hike. It will take almost 3 hours to reach uphill. It is also known as Paro Taktsang and it is one of the most prominent Buddhist sites. The monastery is perched at 900 m above the cliff. This architectural wonder holds an important historical and spiritual significance. Most of the day will go on the hike. If time and energy permits, you can visit Kichu Lakhang which is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan and dated back to the 7th century.

Later, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

In the morning after breakfast, move to Paro airport to board a flight to Kathmandu to complete your Bhutan Nepal Tour. As you reach Kathmandu Airport, our representative helps you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities. Have some rest in your hotel room. The evening too is at leisure and you can visit the local markets of Kathmandu to get your hands on some amazing souvenirs. One can also try the local delicacies here.

On the 18th-day of the tour, post breakfast, leave for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu boasts of timeless beauty as well as cultural heritage. Visitors have a lot to indulge in like strolling in the streets or riding on a rickshaw. Some of the best tourist attractions in Kathmandu are Boudhanath which is a stupa and situated on the ancient trade route of Tibet to Kathmandu Valley. Kopan Monastery is another must-visit place here which can be visited on Saturdays only and is famous for teaching Buddhism to foreign visitors. Swayambhu Nath Stupa and Bonpo Monastery are other attractions that adorn the city.

Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, set out to explore the famous Patan city of Nepal. A famous artistic city, it boasts of rich cultural heritage and a wonderful tradition of arts and crafts. Visit the prime attractions in Patan including the Patan Durbar Square which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It houses many popular temples and palaces within its premises. Another famous tourist destination is Ratnakar Mahavihar, Patan Dhoka, Mahabouddha Temple, Kumbheshwar Temple. Out of them, the Kumbheshwar Temple is one of the oldest temple and famous for its wooden carvings.

Come back to Kathmandu for an overnight stay at the hotel.

In the morning, have your breakfast. Later, get on-time transfer to the Kathmandu airport for boarding a flight to Delhi, as your trip to Bhutan and Nepal from India is in its last phase. As you reach, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you can rest and relax in the hotel room or go out for some last-minute shopping. Finally, in the evening, get transferred to the international airport for boarding a flight to onward destination.
