Itinerary Details

On the first day of the India Nepal tour, you will reach Delhi. After meeting with our representative you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel. You will spend the rest of the day leisurely. You can also spend the day visiting some of the well-known markets in Delhi. Varieties of street food and amazing nightlife will spice up your first day in the capital city.

Later on, you can return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

On the next day, after savoring breakfast you will head out for sightseeing in Delhi. You will visit Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate and Parliament House.

Built-in 1939, Laxmi Narayan Temple is a major pilgrimage site in Delhi and it is also known as Birla Mandir. Located in the west of Delhi, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi and Lord Narayan.

A war memorial located in central Delhi, India Gate is one of the key attractions. Every evening, the lights illuminate this majestic arch and the surrounding bustles with people. It has a continuously burning flame in the center.

Parliament House is an important building in the capital city. It consists of the upper house and lower house of the Indian Parliament. This circular-shaped building was designed by the famous architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker.

Later in the noon, you can visit Old Delhi and explore the biggest mosque in India, Jama Masjid, and also visit the Red Fort and Gandhi Memorial. In the evening, you can spend time enjoying the Sound and Light Show at Red Fort.

This will be followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Today morning you will check out from the hotel in Delhi and drive to Jaipur. On arrival, you can check-in at the hotel and enjoy the remaining day leisurely. You can also head out to explore the city on your own. Visit the local markets, savor delicious meals and also interact with the locals.

After exploring, you can head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

On day 4 of Extended North India with Nepal Tour, after having breakfast at the hotel, you will head out to explore stunning attractions in Jaipur such as Amer Fort, City Palace and more. Experience riding on elephant's back till the main gates of Amer Fort and also get stunned by the grandiosity of the City Palace.

Jaipur's utmost pride, Amer Fort sits majestically on a hill. It offers an absolutely gorgeous view of the city. This fort is a major tourist attraction famous for its architecture and rich history.

You will also visit renowned architectural wonders like the City Palace, Royal Observatory and Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli which is best known for its Rajasthani architecture. In the evening, you can go shopping in some of the popular local markets.

The garden area of the City Palace is decorated with colorful flowers which shows the influence of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. This is a beautiful attraction which has several buildings, gardens and courtyards. You can find a fusion of various architectural styles such as Rajput, Mughal and European.

Also known as Jantar Mantar, the Royal Observatory is a UNESCO Site which was used as an astronomical observation center. This is one of the most well-preserved historical sites in India.

Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will visit Agra, famous for one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. You will check out from the hotel in Jaipur and drive to Agra. Stop at Fatehpur Sikri mid-way for sightseeing.

Fatehpur Sikri is one of the oldest towns built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The main attractions here include Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhawan, Panch Mahal, etc. The architectural style of the city has a mix of Hindu and Mughal styles. One of the prominent sites here is the 5-story Panch Mahal which overlooks the entire site.

After exploring the deserted town, continue your drive to Agra. Upon arrival, check-in at the pre-booked hotel and refresh after a long journey. Later on, you can visit the famous and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Agra Fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb which is also known as the 'Baby Taj'.

The majestic Agra Fort also known as Red Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort made up of red sandstone was once the residence of the Mughal Dynasty. It is visited by tourists from across the globe daily. The halls and complexes of the fort still echo stories of the past. It shows stunning architectural design and style of the Mughal.

Tomb of I'tim?d-Ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum of Mirza Ghiyas Beg and Asmat Begum (his wife). Mirza Ghiyas Beg also known as Itimad-Ud-Daulah was an important Persian official in the Mughal court. This structure is often regarded as a replica of the Taj Mahal.

After the tour, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

On day 6 of the tour, you can wake up early to see the Taj Mahal. It looks absolutely amazing when the first rays of the sun reflect on the white marble of the majestic mausoleum.

The most loved and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal is an epitome of love, elegance and beauty. Millions of visitors come to marvel at the white marble structure which was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

After soaking in the gorgeous sight, you will check out from the hotel and go to the Agra Railway Station to board the train to Jhansi. On arrival in Jhansi, you will start your journey to Khajuraho by road. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later, you can go see the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Khajuraho. It is a group of temple monuments which is famous for their nagara-style of architecture and also their erotic sculptures. These are the Eastern and Western group of temples that were built during the era of Chandela rulers.

After exploring the temple complex, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, you will check out from the hotel in Khajuraho and go to the airport to board a flight to Varanasi. After arriving at the ancient temple city, check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later, you will visit Sarnath, a holy Buddhist place located a few kilometers from the city. This place has a deer park where Gautama Buddha gave his first sermon.

In the evening, experience the eternal beauty of Ganga Aarti that takes place daily at the Dashashwamedh Ghat. Thousands of diyas illuminate the Ghat of Varanasi along with religious chants.

After the Aarti, head back to your hotel in Varanasi for an overnight stay.

After a delicious breakfast, you can go and explore Varanasi and be touched by its mystical charm. In the morning, you can go for a boat ride on the River Ganga along the many Ghats of Varanasi. It is the best way to start a morning here. You get to see many well-known temples and people doing their chores in the Ghats. Amongst the temples, Tulsi Manas Temple, Bharat Mata Temple as well as Alamgir Mosque are some of the prominent landmarks in Varanasi. Thereafter, you can visit the markets in the city and check out many traditional items, idols, and clothes.

Tulsi Manas Temple holds historical and cultural importance for the people of Varanasi. It is said that ancient epic Ramcharitmanas was written here by the Hindu poet-saint, Goswami Tulsidas.

Bharat Mata Temple is located inside Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith campus. It features a map of undivided India on the floor of the shrine.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, you will check out from the hotel in Varanasi and drive to Shivpati Nagar. You can stop at Kushinagar to rest. It is a small town where Lord Gautam Buddha attained Parinirvana. On arrival at Shivpati Nagar, you will check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later, you can go to visit the sites like Kapilavastu, a place where Lord Buddha spent his childhood. Afterward, you can return to Shivpati Nagar for a special dinner and also get entertained by a cultural performance.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, post breakfast you will enjoy free time. After lunch, you will drive to Chitwan. On your way, you can stop at Lumbini known to be the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. It is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. Later on, continue your drive to Chitwan and on arrival check-in at the hotel and rest for the day.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Planning a trip to Nepal cannot be completed without indulging in some wildlife adventure. So today, you will visit Chitwan National Park for nature walks and bird watching. Chitwan is the first national park of Nepal and it houses many wild species such as Bengal tiger, Mugger crocodile, white-throated kingfisher, one-horned rhino, male paradise flycatcher, etc. You can experience an elephant safari while trying to get a sight of the wild animals. In the evening you will be entertained by traditional Tharu cultural dance performance at this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

On day 12 of Nepal holiday tour, you can check out from Chitwan after savoring breakfast and drive to Pokhara. It is one of Nepal's beloved tourist sites. After arriving, you can check-in at the hotel and rest. In the noon, you can walk leisurely around the lakeside of the city and admire the surroundings.

An overnight stay is arranged at the hotel.

Today, you will go for a boat ride on the Phewa Lake. It is the most scenic lake in the country offering spectacular sights of forests and snow-clad peaks from every direction. After the quiet boat ride, you will visit Sarangkot which is a traditional Nepalese village. Here, you can observe the surrounding by going for a nature walk and also interacting with the locals.

Later, return to Pokhara for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will leave Pokhara and drive to the capital city, Kathmandu. After arriving at the city, check-in at the hotel and spend the afternoon at ease. Later, you can either roam at your own or interact with the locals and savor delicious Nepalese cuisine.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Today, you will go out for sightseeing around Kathmandu. The attractions you will visit are Bhaktapur which is an ancient Nepalese town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can check out the beautiful temples and artworks here. Pashupatinath Temple is also an important Hindu shrine that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This famous temple in Nepal is seated on the banks of Bagmati River. It is considered to be one of the most important religious sites all over Asia.

Later, you can also visit another World Heritage Site where one of the world's largest ancient stupas is located at Boudhanath. This beautiful stupa in Kathmandu attracts many visitors. It is the largest spherical-shaped stupas in all of Nepal with over 36-meter height.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 16 is also planned for sightseeing. You will cover Kathmandu as well as Patan, a town in Nepal. Today, you will visit Kopan Monastery, Dakshinkali Temple and Hanuman Durbar Square in Kathmandu.

Kopan Monastery is located on the outskirts of Kathmandu near Boudhanath. This monastery also acts as an institute which is famous for teaching Buddhism to foreigners.

Located in a scenic spot in Nepal, Dakshinkali Temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This temple is located about 22 kilometers from Kathmandu outside the village of Pharping.

Hanuman Dhoka is a beautiful complex of structures which consists of various buildings. It is spread over five acres and derived its name from the stone image of Hanuman. The image is located near the main entrance of the square.

You will also visit Patan Durbar Square, Mahaboudha Temple and Patan Museum in Patan.

Patan Durbar Square is located in the center of Lalitpur in Nepal and it is one of the three main squares in Kathmandu. The main attraction here is the ancient royal palace which served as a residence of the Malla Kings of Lalitpur.

Mahaboudha Temple is a small terracotta temple which features several Buddha images that have been carved into its bricks.

Patan Museum is UNESCO World Heritage Sites and exhibits Nepal's cultural history. Some of the rare objects treasured here are cast bronze, gilt copper repoussée work and traditional crafts.

After the tour, head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

On the last day of the tour, you will check out from the hotel and go to the International Airport in Kathmandu. You will board your flight to Delhi, India. On arrival, you will catch your flight for onward journey.
