Itinerary Details

On arrival at Mumbai International Airport, meet our representative you will assist you for a comfortable transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities. Then, your half-day city tour will start. You will be visiting the Prince of Wales Museum which is a splendid structure and considered as a heritage building in the city. It showcases a mixture of Indian, Mughal and British engineering architectural styles. The museum has almost 50,000 exquisite artifacts, sculptures and artwork that are related to the diverse and rich history of India.

Next, proceed to Hanging Gardens which is one of the major tourist attractions in Mumbai. It is also called the Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens and is popular as a picnic spot among tourists and locals. This garden has interesting animal-shaped hedges and topiaries. You can also witness the best sunset view from here.

Then, you will see the Juhu Beach and relax amidst the tranquil ambiance. It is a desired location for most of the film shootings and a posh locality where most of the celebrities stay. Later on, have your dinner and relax overnight at Mumbai's hotel.

In the morning after breakfast, leave to board a flight to Ahmedabad. After reaching Ahmedabad, you will be picked by our tour representative and who will help you with a smooth transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and then get ready to explore the major attractions in Ahmedabad. Firstly, you will visit Sidi Sayyid's Mosque. It is the most beautiful mosque in the city and was commissioned by the last Gujarat Sultanate. This mosque was used as a government office during the British rule. It is built with yellow sandstone in Indo-Islamic architectural style.

Next attraction on the list is Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. This marvelous mosque was built by the Emperor Sultan Ahmed Shah, who is the founder of the Ahmedabad. The Jama Masjid also houses the tombs of Ahmed Shah I, his queens, his son, and his grandson. It is also known as Jumma or Jami Mosque.

After that, you will see the Swaminarayan Temple. It is adorned with sculptural art that depicts major episodes from presiding deity's life, religious icons and auspicious symbols that represent Indian culture and religions. This temple is also known as Akshardham Temple and is a shrine dedicated to Swaminarayan. This splendid temple was built with vivid colors and intricate carvings on the instructions of Swaminarayan in the year 1822.

From here you will be taken to Gandhi Smarak which is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and depicts his life and work. Tourist can learn about the amazing person also known as 'Bapu Ji' and see his handmade papers, diaries, speech copies, spinning wheels, photographs and personal belongings. In the evening, you will visit Vishalla, which is a traditionally designed village restaurant. They lend an authentic and rustic touch to the food which is served in a leaf plate.

At the end of the day, return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After having scrumptious breakfast, you will leave for Bhavnagar, a city dotted with a number of lakes and Hindu shrines. En-route you will visit Lothal to indulge in a time travel to the Harappan Civilization. It is an important archeological site due to its scientific layout and a massive dockyard which facilitated trade with other civilizations. Thereafter, you will proceed towards Bhavnagar, a historical town. As you reach Bhavnagar, check-in at your pre-booked hotel.

After relaxing for a while, you will go for Takhteshwar Temple which is devoted to Lord Shiva and was built by Maharaja Takhatsihn Ji in 1893. The temple is situated on the top of a hill and in the evening, you can witness the amazing vistas of the whole city beautifully lit up. The view is majestic and enthralls the senses. Then, visit Gandhi Smriti Memorial which was built in 1955 and has an attached clock tower. It has a huge collection of artifacts and pictures starting from Gandhi Ji's birth untill his assassination. Pictures of other freedom fighters are also portrayed here.

Stay overnight at the hotel.

Today post breakfast, you will drive towards Palitana which is home to the renowned Jain temples. In the way, you will see the view of Shatrunjaya Hill and has around 863 temples with carved pillars, arches, and ornamented idols. You will climb up 600 meters over 3000 stairs to reach at the top of the mountain for exploring the temple.

In the evening, drive back to Bhavnagar and enjoy soaking in the comforts of your room during an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will hit the road to Diu. Upon arrival, complete the check-in process. Then, freshen up and get ready to leave for the sightseeing tour of Diu. Start with Bunder Chowk that is well connected by road and easily accessible from other parts of Diu.

Then, you will visit St. Paul's Church is a famous Church. The church is solely dedicated to "Our Lady of Immaculate Conception". After that, you will explore Nagao Beach that is famous for its swaying palm trees and pristine beauty. You can enjoy a pony or a camel ride on the white sand along the azure water. At the end of the day, go to Jallandhar Beach. It has a memorial at a hilltop that features a face structure made up of stone of the demon, Jallandhar. It is the perfect location for a private photo shoot.

Retire for the night at your hotel.

On the 6th day of Tour to Gujarat, you will be visiting some other destination of Diu. You will pay a visit to the Gangeshwar Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built by the Pandavas and is popular for its five Shiva Lingas. These lingas lie amidst the rocks and are lulled by the crystal clear waves of the sea. Next, proceed to Diu Museum, an archaeological treasure house. It contains worn out and faded paintings and portraits which was left behind by Portuguese. It also includes other things such as antique statues, a number of stone inscriptions of ancient rulers, wood carvings and idols, etc.

After that, discover a splendid new place Ghoghla Beach that is nestled away from the cacophony of the town. It is a clean, less-crowded and safe place and preferable for the tourists who want to stay aloof and enjoy privacy. This is followed by a trip to Gomtimata Beach. It is a beautiful beach to just sit back and relax on its natural white sand. Here, you can also bask in the sunshine. Thereafter, see the Diu Fort which was built by Portuguese during their colonial rule and also known as "Prace de Diu". This enchanting fort commands a magnificent view of the sea and used as a trade hub with Broach, Cambay, and Surat in Gujarat.

Call it a day at Fortress of Panikota which is a former Diu Jail and also called as Fortim-do-Mar. It offers a breathtaking view of Diu Island and its adjoining areas.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast, we will drive straight to Gir. There will be a halt en route to visit the Somnath Temple. It is one of the 12 Aadi Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of India did the Pran-Pratistha at the existing temple in 1951. Somnath Temple flaunts wonderful architecture, silver doors, intricate carvings, the central Shivlinga and an impressive Nandi idol. Through its side door, the sea is visible shimmering in the sunlight.

After that, resume your journey to Gir National Park. Post reaching, check-in at the wildlife resort. Take some rest and go for an elephant safari to get the adventurous experience at the National Park. Gir wildlife reserve showcases a perfect blend of evergreen flora, deciduous forests, grasslands, scrublands and water bodies.

In the evening, come back to the resort, take your dinner and relax overnight.

Post breakfast, you will go to the deciduous Gir Forests and get a chance to see Asiatic Lions and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Feel the adrenaline rush as you spot a lion, an endangered animal species in Gir which is well acknowledged as the only forest reserve in Asia. You will also spot other animal species such as Spotted Deer, Chausingha, Sambhar, Panther (leopard), Wild Boar and Nilgai.

After that, explore the Kamleshwar Dam which is built over the Hiran River. It is also referred to as the lifeline of Gir. It is the breeding site of marsh crocodiles of Gir and a favorite halting point of many species of birds.

At the end of the day, relax overnight in the wildlife resort.

After breakfast, your journey will start for Wankaner by car. Take a break to explore the city Rajkot. Firstly, see The Watson Museum which is situated in the amiable Jubilee Gardens to enhance your body and mind. It has a large collection of the houses-paintings, artifacts of various royal families, Saurashtra's cultural heritage, 13th-century carvings, textiles, silverware, and natural history exhibits. Then, move to the Swaminarayan Temple is a remarkable structure of architectural brilliance. It contains the idol house of Lord Swaminarayan and hosts numerous festivals and fairs. After that, see Gurukul, is a school for 1st to 12th standard in Gujarati medium. It assembles daily Satsang in the morning as well as in the evening. It has a big playground for children and a park where students can spend their time.

Finally, you will continue your journey towards Wankaner. After reaching, check-in at the pre-booked lodge. Wankaner is known for its royal lineage and heritage monuments. This city was ruled by Jhala Rajputs, thus, also known as Jhalawar. The Jhala Rulers are renowned for their arts and patronage architectural styles that clearly reflected in the beautiful palaces and monuments of Wankaner. In the evening, you will be free, thus you can spend it according to you. Enjoy an overnight stay at the lodge.

Early in the morning, take your breakfast. Then, you will be leaving for your next destination, Bhuj. As you reach Bhuj, get accommodated at your pre-booked hotel. Relax and rejuvenate yourself in the afternoon. After that, visit the Kutch Museum, the oldest museum of Gujarat that was founded by Maharao Khengarji in 1877. It has the largest collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions, ancient artifacts, and interesting collection of coins, crafts, tribal cultures, folk arts, musical instruments, precious metalwork, information about tribal peoples and Kutchi script that is mostly written in the Gujarati alphabets.

Next, proceed to the Palace of Rao Pragmal Ji, also called the Prag Mahal. It is a magnificent building constructed with ornate Italian marble and sandstone. It contains a vast Darbar Hall, Zenanas and Corner Tower and also has window-screen enlivens walls and carved wooden balconies.

Come back to your hotel, have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Visit Kakkad Bhit Yaksha which is situated on a small hillock and contains 72 idols of Jakhas or Yakshas. This memorial is created to honor people who sacrificed their life while showing bravery against the local ruler Punara. Then, move to the Swaminarayan Temple, constructed by the Lord Shree Swaminarayan. He used traditional Vedic architectural methods to build it. Next, the attraction point is the Aina Mahal. It has beautiful carved doorways, balconies, elaborate windows and contains a vivid collection of art and archaic pieces as a treasure for someone who is interested in the history of art.

After that, visit The Bhartiya Sanskruti Darshan which is a cultural center or museum and consists of an excellent collection of Kutchi crafts, folk art, paintings, rural architecture, archaeological specimens, and textile arts. At the end of the day, proceed towards the Bunni Village. It is well-known for its "Banni Handicrafts" which are popular all over the world. The expensive embroideries and mud work are also done here. The artisans and craftsmen are so much excellent in their work that they are honored by national awards.

Enjoy an overnight stay at your pre-booked hotel.

In the morning, you will proceed to Ahmedabad by road. Upon arrival at Ahmedabad, take rest for a while at your hotel. Then, start visiting the major hotspots of Ahmedabad. First, see Hathee Singh's Temple which is a famous Jain temple and was constructed in 1855. This temple is dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankara named Dharmnath and is well-known for its fabulous architectural style and intricate carvings.

Next, you will head towards Dada Hari Baoli which was built by a woman of Sultan Begara's Harem in 1499 and shows the architecture of the bygone era. At the ground level, you won't see much but as you reach higher levels, you will see a deep cascade of stairs and columns that plunges down various stories.

Thereafter, see Calico Textile Museum, one of the foremost textile museums and is celebrated for Indian textiles all over the globe. It has a huge collection of remarkable fabrics and empowers the deep and vast textile heritage of India. Now, head to Sabarmati Ashram that is recognized as a national monument. It is the place where Mahatma Gandhi began the famous "Dandi March". There are other sites and buildings within this Gandhi Ashram such as Vinoba Kutir, Magan Niwas, Nandini, Upasana Mandir.

Later on, you will be taken to Shaking Minarets, also known as "Jhulta Minaar". When one minaret is shaken, the other starts to vibrate. In the evening, you will go to Kankaria Lake which was constructed by Sultan Qutub-Ud-Din in 1451. It has an artificial island in the center and this pleasure pavilion is known as Naginavadi.

Retire for the night at the hotel.

Post breakfast, you will leave for Ahmedabad airport to board the flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, check-in at the hotel. Take rest for some time. And then, you will proceed to see the Elephanta Caves. You will board a ferry from the Gateway of India to reach there. The Elephanta caves consist of seven caves and out of all these caves, the Mahesh Murit Cave has great importance. This rock-cut cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva where he is displayed as a creator, protector, and destroyer. In the evening, you will return back to the Gateway of India from the Elephants Caves.

Stay overnight at the hotel and relax.
