Itinerary Details

The Coorg tour package begins as you arrive in Mangalore. Our tour representative will meet and greet you. After receiving the warm welcome, proceed to Coorg.

It is situated amidst imposing mountains and feature eternally misty landscape. If you are a nature lover, then Coorg is the place to be. This coffee-producing hill station is popular for its beautiful green hills and the streams gushing right through them. It is also a well-known destination for its culture and people. The local clan known as the Kodavas specialize in martial arts and are popular for their keen hospitality. The place is renowned for its astoundingly exotic scenery and lush greenery. Forest-covered hills, with the spices and coffee plantations, only add beauty to the landscape.

Upon reaching there, you will check-in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. You can explore the surroundings of the town on your own.

Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast, head out for a sightseeing tour of the Coorg city. Firstly, you will be visiting the holy Omkareshwar temple at Talacauvery. The Omkareshwara Temple in Madikeri was constructed by Lingarajendra II in the year 1820. It was built in the Mumammadan style of architecture with a dome in the center and four turrets at four corners. The temple is similar to a Muslim dargah with a Linga placed near the entrance door.

Post lunch, visit the Raja's Seat and Abbey Falls. Raja's Seat is a seasonal garden featuring flowers and artificial fountains. A favorite place of the Kodagu's king, it is one of the most important tourist spots in Madikeri. A pleasing spectacle of uplifting layers of greenery and a chain of high and low-rise-mountains attired with mist soothe the senses. It is constructed on a high-level ground and offers an impressive view of the cliffs and valleys in the west.

Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Early in the morning visit the Golden Temple. A truly beautiful temple of Lord Buddha, it is located in Bylakuppe near Coorg. The temple is very beautifully decorated in a very unique way both inside and outside. The idol of Buddha is around 60-65 feet high. It is a majestic temple which surely is a must-visit. Regarded as a Tibetan Monastery, the temple feature an ornate high tower. The outer walls flanking the doorway are adorned with huge colorful paintings. The red-colored doors have huge gold knockers and a thick plaited rope with tufts hanging from it. The walls are adorned with colorful paintings depicting gods and demons from Tibetan-Buddhist mythology.

Afterward check-in at the hotel and stay overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Mangalore and from there board the flight back for your onward journey.
