Itinerary Details

On your arrival at the Guwahati airport or Railway station, our tour representative will meet you. After the welcome meet start for the Kaziranga National Park situated 220 km from Guwahati. The varied ecosystem of Kaziranga consists of tall savanna trees, dense forest inhabited by wide species of fauna, open woodlands, interconnecting streams, and lakes. Covering an area of 400 sq. km. the park is bordered by the river Brahmaputra and Karbi Anglong hills while the National Highway 37 passes through it dividing the park into two parts. On arrival, check-in at the forest resort and unwind yourself.

Stay overnight at the resort.

Today your Kaziranga National Park tour will start at an early morning. Kaziranga National Park consists of 4 zones, the eastern part is called Agoratoli, the central part is Kohora, the Baguri zone is in the western part with the highest population of rhinoceros and the Burhapahar zone covers an additional area attached to the Park.

Your first safari will be in the Kohora zone covering the smallest area in the park where you can take an elephant ride. This is a mix of grassland and woodland and as you move through the narrow jungle path, you will get a chance to spot wildlife from very close. The park also has a number of water bodies that make home for wide species of birds like pelicans, storks and darters. Once the morning safari is done, back to the resort to have your breakfast.

Post-breakfast take another safari at the central zone in an open-hood jeep to enjoy wildlife watching in a deeper sense. You can spot wide species of mammals including Rhino, swamp deer, hog deer, Elephants, wild buffalo, and tigers. After the wildlife safari, back to the resort and take some rest in the calm environment.

Post lunch, you will embark on the last safari of the day at the western zone Baguri. Your jeep will move along the Mori Diffalu River passing through Bagori, Dongabeel, Rowmari, Rajapukhuri and Monabeel. Also, take halt at the Donga watch Tower for a panoramic view of the surroundings and glimpses of wildlife. After the evening safari, back to your resort.

Stay overnight at the resort.

Today you will take a jeep safari at Agoratoli the eastern part of the park. This is mostly woodland and is home to wide species of birds. Here you can spot variety of migratory as well as local birds and wild elephants. This part also includes the Shohola Tower where you can stop for a glimpse of birds and animals in the park. This tower marks the end of Eastern zone of the park. After the morning safari, return to the resort for lunch.

Post lunch you will again explore the central zone of the park to visit a few of its watch towers. There are Kathpora Tower, Daflang Tower and Kerasing Tower from where you can get stunning views of the surrounding and wildlife. After the excursion, return to the resort.

In the evening take a tour of the nearby local village to meet the local people and see their way of life & livelihood. Return to the resort and have your dinner.

Overnight stay at wildlife resort.

Day 4 of the kaziranga tour package is reserved for bird watching in the park. Get ready early in the morning for exploring the Burapahar zone of the park. You will be provided with packed breakfast as you will return to the resort only before lunch. Toda's safari is basically a trekking tour. So you will be driven to the Pani Juri Camp from where your guided trekking tour to the Burapahar zone will start. Accompanied by a forest guide you will walk up to the Brahmaputra River. During the trekking through the woodland, you will spot Capped Langurs, the Great Indian Hornbill, Elephants and Hoolock Gibbon. After the trekking, reach the Pani Juri campsite and drive back to the resort.

After lunch embark on the last round of Jeep Safari inside the central range of the Kaziranga National Park to see the wildlife in the evening. Thereafter, return to the resort and have your dinner.

Stay overnight in the resort.

Today is the closing day of your kaziranga tour. After a delicious breakfast in the morning, we will transfer you back to Guwahati for your onward journey. If time permits you can explore the city visiting the famous kamakhya temple, Bashistha Ashram, Fancy Bazar etc.
