Among them, the Kwara Dam is the most famous picnic spot situated on the outskirts of Bhopal, which offers the most beautiful view of the city. The city has to offer the rich heritage, modern life, and culture.

The Manua Bhan ki Tekri is also a famous tourist spot on a hill cliff, which offers a picturesque view of the city, besides being a picnic spot, it is also a religious place for the Jains. The Shahpura Lake located on the outskirts of Bhopal is very popular among the locals here. People here like to take a walk in the evenings and enjoy the time with their loved ones in the serene environment. The cave-temple here is dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is about 7 km from the city. Some of the important historical buildings in Bhopal can be seen, like the Gauhar Mahal, Shaukat palaces, old fort, and Sadar Manzil. The history of Bhopal is very interesting and the city was discovered by Raja Bhoj in the year 1000- 1055 AD. Raja Bhoj belonged to the Parmar dynasty.

The main foundation of the city was laid by his friend Muhammad Khan in the late 18th century. It was followed by the Nawabs rule in the city and Hamadullah Khan was the last ruler of Bhopal. The Mughal and Afghan influences can be easily seen in the architecture of Bhopal. And also, in music, food, art, culture, and cooking. The city was earlier merged with the Federation of India in April 1949 and Bhopal has played an important role in the development of the country. Bhopal is one of the main tourist attractions of India and is visited by thousands and millions of tourists every year. The geographical location of the city makes it the home of the leopard which is raised in a natural wildlife park called Forest Vihar.
