Itinerary Details

As you arrive at Cochin International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tour agent who will help you with hassle-free transfer to your hotel. Complete check-in formalities at the hotel and take your time to settle down there. Your Kerala Tour gives you an ideal opportunity to delight in wonderful sightseeing of Cochin. Your day trip starts with marveling at the unique Chinese Fishing Nets. The design of these Fishing Nets is unique. It is a truly spellbinding experience to watch these majestic nets being suspended in mid-air and row upon row.

Next, set your foot into Fort Cochin. It is steeped in the history and culture of all who have occupied it through the ages. Also, its essence and roots are unique in its diversity. It was built in 1503 and stands as the testimony of the strategic alliance between the Maharaja of Cochin and the Portuguese Monarch.

Thereafter, visit Mattancherry Palace, also called as Dutch Palace. It is a Portuguese palace but now a museum which displays paraphernalia belonging to the Kings of Kochi, irreplaceable artifacts, and embellishments. It is built in the typical Kerala style mansions that are reserved for the nobility. This is followed by a trip to the St. Francis Church which finely exhibits Portuguese architecture and contains the gravestone of the famous explorer, Vasco-da-Gama. It is popular for its simplicity. Afterward, go to Dutch Cemetery, well-known for its imperial voyagers and inhabitants who left their homelands centuries ago to proliferate and expand their own empire. It is one such symbol of Dutch occupation and consist of one hundred tombs in the cemetery.

Your next stop is at Jewish Synagogue which is the oldest active synagogue. It was built by Spanish – speaking Jews in 1567 and also called as "Paradesi". It has splendid sculptures such as beautiful chandeliers, rare antiques, brass-railed pulpit, clock tower, Chinese hand-painted tiles, etc. Now, head towards Hill Palace. It is the largest archaeological museum in Kerala and situated on a hill. Built in 1865, the palace has served as the imperial administrative office and official residence of Maharaja of Cochin. The complex has a heritage museum, archaeological museum, a pre-historic park, a deer park and a children's park that are perfect for outdoor photography.

After that, go to Bolghatty Palace, a former palace or quaint mansion which was built by Dutch traders. After independence, this property was converted into a heritage hotel that includes a 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, ayurvedic center. Add to it, mesmerizing Kathakali performance that is held here daily. In the evening, take a walk along Marine Drive. This place is a picturesque promenade that overlooks serene backwaters. Spectators are left amused with amazing sunset views here. This fantastic place always remains thronged with tourists.

It is time for shopping. So head straightaway to Lulu Shopping Mall which is one of the biggest malls in the Indian sub-continent. There are many outlets for the people such as food courts, jewelry shops, footwear shops, sportswear shops, fashion accessories stores, etc. The mall can occupy 1, 00,000 people at a time.

At the end of the day, you will see the Kathakali Dance Show. It is a classical dance form or indigenous Kerala art and has become the icon of this state. This dance involves bright costumes, elaborate makeup, intricate body, hand, eye, and even facial movements.

Later, come back to the hotel and snuggle down in your bed for a relaxing overnight stay.

After having a wholesome breakfast at the hotel, check-out from there and you will drive towards Munnar. A pretty hill station, Munnar is popular for its lakes, exotic lush greenery, tea gardens, and craggy peaks. The place is also blessed with panoramic natural viewpoints. On the way, you will visit the beautifully enchanting Cheeyappara and Valara Water Falls. Take your time to enjoy the fantastic climate and cool breeze. It is an ideal place to unwind, relax, and revel in this pristine beauty of Mother Nature. You can also see the dense growth of trees and several rare species of animals and plants in its vicinity. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will go to explore the attractions of Munnar, one of the best places in Kerala. You will be visiting the Tea Museum which depicts the history of tea plantations and processing of tea since the earlier times. It is one of the most renowned areas in the world for its tea. This place also organizes two shows in a day where you will get detail information about the tea plantations and the way things work. Next, proceed to Mattupetty Dam which is built in the mountains of Kerala. Tourists love to treat their eyes to the lush greenery of tea plantations and dense forests around here. Also, the place is a haven for many birds and wild animals.

The city tour of Munnar also includes Echo Point as the next destination. Located at an elevation of 600 m above the sea level the point is positioned right in the lap of a charming lake and misty hills that are covered with lush green trees. The place is well-known for its enthralling phenomenon of echoing. You can go for a peaceful walk around the gentle slopes of hills or ride on the boat in the serene water of the lake. Afterward, go to Kundala Lake which is an idyllic place surrounded by rolling hills and valleys with dense forests. Now, move for an expedition to the Eravikulam National Park, also called as Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary. It is famous for housing highly endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a popular mountain goat of South India. The national park stands out for the ravishing beauty of its rolling grasslands and shoals. This sanctuary is also the home to a rich and diverse variety of flora and fauna including atlas moth, elephant, lion-tailed macaque, rare leopard, tiger, small-clawed otter, etc. Also, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also the place that features rare Neelakurinji Flowers that bloom once in 12 years.

At the end of the day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Enjoy munching your breakfast. This is followed by an unforgettable Kerala houseboat tour in Alleppey. Officially called as Alappuzha, the place is known for its wide network of interlinked, palm-fringed canals also called backwaters.

Later, retire for the night in the hotel.

Kick start the day with a delicious breakfast and then head out for a local sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Firstly, go to Padmanabhaswamy Temple which stands tall in the Thiruvananthapuram. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams that are holy abodes of the Lord Vishnu. The grandeur and mystery of the temple fill the air. Tourists are left awestruck with its magnanimous beauty. Next, move to the Napier Museum. It was built in the 19th-century and has its own natural air-conditioning system. This museum has the collection of historical artifacts including ancient ornaments, ivory carvings, bronze idols and a temple chariot. It is also known as the Government Art Museum and the architectural style of this place is the mixture of Kerala, Chinese, Indian and Mughal architecture.

After that, visit Zoo which was established by the Maharaja of Travancore in 1857. It is the home to 100 species of indigenous and exotic animals from across the world. It also includes native species like Indian rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, lion-tailed macaque, hippos, Asiatic lion, giraffes, Cape buffaloes and many more.
