Itinerary Details

We would welcome you to Bangalore, the 'Garden City of India', at the airport. You will be transferred to the hotel thereafter. Post freshening up, we would take you to explore the 'Silicon Valley of India'. Besides towering glass buildings that house big MNCs, you will see the historic Tipu Sultan's Palace. The palace is located in the old part of the city and is a beautiful monument to visit. Completed during the reign of Tipu Sultan, this palace was the summer retreat of the ruler. Later it was used by the British and at present, the government of Karnataka maintains the palace. After this, we will take you to visit Ulsoor Lake, a beautiful lake near M.G. Road in the city. It was built by Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore himself. It is one of the biggest lakes in Bangalore. You can also do boating there.

Next, we will visit Nandi or Bull Temple. Built by Kempe Gowda, this temple is dedicated to 'Nandi' the sacred bull of Lord Shiva the Hindu religion. The temple showcases the finest of the Dravidian architecture. After this, we will go to Cubbon Park, showcasing a vast stretch of greenery amidst the bustling city, which is also called the lung of Bangalore. A walk in the Cubbon Park is a must for every traveler in the city. It covers an area of 300 acres and you will witness a wide variety of flora in Cubbon Park.

Lalbagh is a botanical garden in Bangalore and was established by Tipu Sultan. The magnificent garden is home to a huge glass house that is famous for hosting the biggest flower shows in Bangalore every year. There is also a lake in Lalbagh. You will also visit Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. The architectural style of this heritage building is magnificent. It is said to be constructed in Mysore Neo-Dravidian style. Later, we will visit other art galleries and museums in Bangalore.

Dinner and stay in Bangalore for the day.

After having breakfast, we will start our journey to Mysore. The road trip is refreshing and you will witness some of the important places on way like the capital city of Tipu Sultan -Srirangapatna, the toy city - Channapatna and Ranganathaswamy Temple - dedicated to the Hindu god Ranganatha (a manifestation of Lord Vishnu).

It will take around three hours to reach Mysore. Check in at the hotel. After lunch, you will go for city sightseeing.

You will visit the world-famous Mysore Palace first. The beautiful architecture of the palace attracts tourists from all over the world. Built between 1897 and 1912, the palace presents a wonderful sight to behold. The garden adjoining the palace is beautiful. Members of the royal family still reside in this palace. Next, you will explore Brindavan Gardens, a wonderful place to visit for nature lovers. The garden has a wide variety of trees, including a fruit orchard and flower trees. The topiary works and pergolas in the garden are perfect for photography. After the garden, we will visit the Krishnarajasagar Dam, a dam built over the river Cauvery. You can enjoy the natural surrounding there.

Stay in Mysore for the night.

The next day you will visit the rest of the popular tourist places of Mysore. The first destination will be Mysore Zoo. Mysore Zoo is known for a wide variety of species it houses and is one of the oldest zoos of the country. After this, you will visit Chamundi Hills and the temple of goddess Chamundeshwari on the hilltop. She is the deity of the royal family of Mysore. The temple is a beautiful place to visit. Apart from the religious angle, you can also enjoy a wonderful view of the Mysore City and palace from the viewpoint at the Chamundi Hills.

Next, we will take you to visit St. Philomena's Cathedral, a beautiful church in Mysore. The Gothic architectural style of this building is a must see. The church was built in 1956 and is one of the biggest churches in the country. Our next stop will be Shri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery. After this, we will embark on our journey to Ooty. The road to Ooty is beautiful as well as exciting as it crosses two forest reserves - Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The 35 hairpin bends leading to Ooty are sure to take your breath away.

On reaching Ooty, check-in at the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

The fourth day of Bangalore Mysore Ooty tour is for exploring the 'Queen of Hills'. Every nook and corner of Ooty shows Mother Nature's abundant love for the place. Greenery all around, gorgeous valleys and mesmerizing views - Ooty is every nature lover's paradise. Dwindling roads adorned on both sides with silver oak trees present a great sight.

In Ooty, you will visit the Botanical Gardens. The beautiful terraced layout garden lies on the lower slopes of the Dodabetta peak. The botanical garden is home to exquisite trees, shrubs and bonsai plants. Check out the wonderful Lotus pond in the Botanical gardens. Then you will visit the Dodabetta peak, the highest peak in the area. From the peak, you will get to marvel at breathtaking views of the region around. Next, you will visit the Ooty Lake and Boat House where you can do boating on the lake. Although the lake was artificially built, but now it has become one of the favorite destinations for visitors in Ooty. The scenery around the lake is beautiful. The view of the hills from Kodanad's viewpoint is simply unmatched.

After this, we will visit Catherine Falls, a double cascade waterfall. It is the second highest waterfall in the Nilgiri Hills. Dolphin's Nose is another amazing place to visit and is also a popular picnic spot amongst the locals. The viewpoint is shaped as dolphin's nose and hence the name. The view from the place is very beautiful. After a short trek, you can reach Lamb's Rock. The place is favorite among tourists for its offbeat location and the tranquility that it offers. Relish a fantastic view of the mountains from this place.

The long day will end with delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, start the journey to Bangalore. Upon reaching, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
