Post breakfast, get ready for the day excursion to Vrindavan. Today you will head towards Vrindavan and seek blessings of the lord in the holy temples. It is one of the oldest cities in India and a major pilgrimage destination for the followers of Lord Krishna. Vrindavan is the place where the Lord spent his entire childhood. One of the top attractions here are the Banke Bihari Temple, the holiest in the region. This temple was constructed in the year 1864 and worships Banke Bihari Ji in the form of a child.
Next, you will be heading to Madan Mohan Temple, the oldest of the Goswami temples located in that area. The history of this temple traces back to 5000 years during the patronage of Maharaja Vajranabh who established the site. The present temple is a replica of the original one that was completely destroyed by Aurangzeb during his reign.
Afterward, you will be visiting Sri Radha Raman Mandir. The main deity here is a Saligram Shila that has been installed in the year 1542. This temple was established by Gopala Bhatta Goswami, one of the Goswamis of Vrindavan. It is a very beautiful landmark and a treat to the sore eyes. The next stop for the day is ISKCON Temple, one of the grandest Krishna temples in the region. The temple was established by Swami Prabhupada in the year 1966.
You will be exploring a number of other exquisite temples including the Prem Mandir. This religious shrine is dedicated to Sita Ram and Radha Krishna. The temple complex boasts of a brilliant architecture that never fails to impress devotees.
Later in the evening, drive back to the Mathura for an overnight stay.
