How to Reach Spiti

From Chandigarh or Delhi, the tourists can reach Shimla by an overnight bus. From Shimla, people can easily avail private and public bus that is running between Shimla and Kinnaur from the Old Bus Stand as well as the New Bus Stand in Shimla. People can also take a cab or taxi on a sharing basis or even a private one. Also, people like self-driving which is more enjoyable and offers you spectacular views of the route.

By Air By Air

There is no direct fight facility available in Spiti Valley. The nearest airport is situated in Bhuntar, near Kullu and is 245 km far away from Spiti Valley. The airport in Bhuntar is small with limited operations. But the nearest International Airport is Chandigarh which is located at a distance of 522 km from this valley.

By Road By Road

The travelers can also take a public or private bus from Manali and reach Kaza via Kunzum Pass and Rohtang Pass. Here, you can also hire a private taxi or cab to reach there.

Regular buses are operated from and to the city of Spiti Valley. The authorities operate the bus services on a daily basis to Kaza from Manali. First, you have to reach Kullu or Manali. You can easily get a bus to Manali from major places like Pathankot, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, etc. People can hire private or shared cabs or taxis for the same route.

By Rai By Rail

The closest broad gauge railway station of Spiti is Chandigarh which has good connectivity to other parts of the country. Meanwhile, the Jogindernagar Railway Station is another nearest railway station but it does not have good connectivity.
