The Tibet Museum, Dharamshala, is a notable tourist attraction located inside the Tsuglagkhang campus in McLeodganj. It is one of the famous tourist places in Dharamshala, which spread across a vast area. This museum has separate rooms for each class. Its architectural style shows a fusion of the original Tibetan and modern design. The visitors will have a lot to see here like the historical documents, manuscripts, paintings, pottery, and many Tibetan handicrafts. This place is surrounded by a lush garden. It is a very beautiful place in itself. The place is situated at a distance of 5 km from McLeodganj.

The Tibetan Museum was constructed mainly to preserve the history and culture of Tibet. A lot of tourists visit the Museum from across the globe each year. Over the years several exhibitions along with lectures are organized at the Museum. Beautiful paintings and pictures are depicting the lives of the people. 

Tibet Museum is the official museum of the Central Tibetan Administration Department of Information and International Relations. There is the famous Dalai Lama temple, which is more commonly known as the Tsuglagkhang. The temple is the residence of his Holiness. The construction of the Museum is of traditional Tibetan style engineering, with yellow and white stones. The external part of the museum emits positive energy which attracts the tourists to visit and explore all that the museum has to offer. 

The main aim of the Tibetan Museum is the bring awareness about the Tibetan occupation, human rights abuses committed by China and the struggles that the Tibetan people overcame put before them. 

The interior of the museum consists of several documentary screenings, talk series, photographs and workshops in series and is crowded with tourists at all times. Tourists can also watch a video that is highlighting the journey of Tibet into the Himalayas. The Tibetan Museum teaches the children a lot about the culture of Tibet and is thus, a great place for them to improve their knowledge and also have fun at the same time.

The tourists can also indulge in some of the adventure sports then there is a trekking option where the trail is to Triund. It is the best expedition for people who love nature. You can also get yourself a relaxing massage and rejuvenate your body. Also, you can try your hand at woodcarving. There are crash courses in art. For the foodies, several restaurants in the region serve exotic Tibetan cuisines.
