Kingdom of Dreams is also popularly known as KOD that sits majestically in Gurugram (previously called Gurgaon), Delhi NCR. Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon is an eclectic mélange of theatre and entertainment. It was inaugurated by Bhupinder Singh Hooda who was the Chief Minister of Haryana, the composers of the musical show Zangoora – Loy and Ehsaan and Lyricist Javed Akhtar in 2010. This grand center is organized and run by the GINC (Great Indian Nautanki Company).
It is the world’s first cinematic theatrical experience with the combination of creativity and technology that gives extravagance experience to the visitors. It consists of a huge auditorium that can hold about 835 people at one time. Here, the authorities are arranged many shows for visitors like Zangoora, Jhumroo, and Beyond Bollywood. The Jhumroo is a musical comedy show that is dedicated to the evergreen Kishore Kumar. People get a rollercoaster experience on a huge set of this show along with 19 of Kishor Da’s retro tracks and unparalleled technology. On the other hand, the Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince, a grand Bollywood Music which is written by Javed Akhtar and the music has been given by Shankar Ehsan Loy. They are well-known musicians from India. This show brings out the magic of Indian Cinema and different flavors of India with a stunning spectacle.
Inside the Kingdom of Dreams, Culture Gully (street) is India’s first-ever a splendid skydome that showcases the culture of 14 different states along with local fine arts, street arts, and cuisines. It is fully air-conditioned and the only “indoor street of India”. This street is the home to the street bars, themed restaurants, The India Tea House, arts and crafts village, library and massage center. It takes the tourists on an unforgettable and mystical journey of diverse culture, traditions, and lifestyles of different parts of India.
There are many other popular attractions in the Kingdom of Dreams. First is IIFA Buzz – it is a themed bar that gives one a complete Bollywood experience through its special effects, thematic decorations, and music. Second is Showshaa Theatre: it is a state-of-the-future theatre not just in the city but the entire country. It has the unique hydraulic central revolving system along with the versatile and retractable seating. The last one is Maikhana Bar – it is a set up in an old Mughal Delhi style and people will like having a drink in the Mughal era with its impressive lighting and seating arrangements.
Kingdom of Dreams Entry Ticket comes in several packages like Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Value, Economy, and Bronze but the price range is different on weekdays and weekends. During weekdays, the Kingdom of Dreams Ticket price range starts from INR 1,099 per person to INR 2,999 per person while during weekends, the Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon Entry Fee starts from INR 1,199 per person to INR 3,999. The entry is free for the children whose height is less than 4 feet.
The most convenient way to reach there is the metro and the nearest metro station is IFFCO Chowk. But people can also book an auto-rickshaw or cab to the venue.
