    The most common way to reach Thimphu is by air, and the Paro International Airport is the only international airport in Bhutan. This airport is well-connected to a few international destinations. From Paro Airport, Thimphu is approximately 54 kilometers away. You can hire a taxi or use pre-arranged transportation services to reach Thimphu.
    Bhutan does not have a railway network. Therefore, traveling to Thimphu by train directly is not an option. The nearest major railway station is in Hasimara, India. You can take a train to a major railway station in India, such as New Jalpaiguri (NJP) or Hasimara, and then continue the journey to Thimphu by road.
