Day 1: Arrival Cochin

The Kerala houseboat tour starts with your arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station. Meet our representative and get a transfer to the hotel. Then, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. Later, go for a sightseeing tour in Cochin.

This coastal city of Kerala is home to the historical Mattancherry Palace, the Paradesi Synagogue, the St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Ernakulam Shiva Temple, etc. At sunset, do not miss the mesmerizing view of the Chinese fishing nets. Explore the markets, cuisines, and shopping delights.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.


Day 2: Cochin - Alleppey (53 km/ 1.5 hours)

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Then, check-out and proceed to Alleppey by road. The houseboat cruise re-starts from Pallathuruthy at noon. It will travel towards SNDP Thodu, Punnamada Kayal, experiencing the emerald beauty of Kerala. In the late afternoon, you will visit a nearby village. The other sights you explore are the Kuppapuram and Chitira Palli. While on the houseboat, delight in the wonderful views of lush paddy fields.

The houseboat is anchored for the night at Mangalam/Marthandam for an overnight stay.


Day 3: Houseboat

Wake up to the views of the backwaters. The houseboat cruise restarts after breakfast. Today, the houseboat moves towards Nedumudy. First, stop at the Liscio Church for a visit. Next, halt at the Kavalam and enjoy a Veliyanadu village walk. Also visit Kidangara, Mathikayal, and Chundan Vallam. After these wonderful sights, you will get the opportunity to go country boat canoeing for an hour at Kainakary.

The houseboat is anchored for the night at Nedumudy for an overnight stay.

 


Day 4: Houseboat

Arise to the blessed views and the call of birds. The houseboat restarts after breakfast. Today the houseboat tours the route to Thakazhi via Mancompu. De-board at the Pulinkunnu dock. Here, you are scheduled to visit the Banana Plantation. Explore the Pulinkunnu Church, Kottaram Temple, and St. Mary’s Church. The statue carving unit is a destination worth visiting. The local market at Champakulam is a must visit. The prized Champakulam Chundan is the winner of several boat races. The Pullangadi, Pindithodu, and Vegetable Plantation are also worthwhile to visit.

The houseboat is anchored for the night at Thakazhi for an overnight stay.

 


Day 5: Houseboat/Cochin departure

Today is the last day of your Kerala Houseboat Tour. The houseboat cruise starts after breakfast. The houseboat travels via Kanjipadam and moves towards Pallathuruthy. You shall reach the jetty dock where you will meet our representative who will drive you back to Cochin. You will be dropped to the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.
